what lights?

im about to start growing in a closet, i got all the stuff but the lights. theres going to be 9 plants in 10in pots, does anyone have any suggestions on what type of lights i should use? o and i dont want like the really expensive ones cause i dont have tons to spend

what is the size of your room?

its a 4x3 room

What is the height? Assuming it is a closet with good height if you can vent out of the room I would suggest an air cooled 400w hps for something that size. You can go with cfl's but you won't get the same yields as with hps lamps.
Here is a very inexpensive air cooled unit I haven't used it myself, but you can't beat that price. High Tech Garden Supply
just connect a 4in. inline duct fan too it and duct in and out of the lamp and you can vent all of the heat straight past the bulb and out of the closet
