What Might Cause 100% Hermie Crops?!

Can anyone give me ideas on what would cause all my plants (of different strains and all clones) to turn Hermaphrodite?

Every one! indoors and outdoors... no stamen as yet but sacks at the base of every flower.

Inside was the first to turn, and I pulled the whole cycle.
What has devastated me is that I see that the outside have all done the same. Not just one, or a few plants... but every one of them?!

different nutes, different strains, different conditions...
Could there be a male in my neighborhood?
Or is it something I've done?

Ideas please.

if you didn't catch one of those hermies soon enough you could have easily dusted your entire neighborhood.

maybe a bad light leak that affected the whole crop. otherwise i would agree with tweezy. outdoors though? got me stumped. i could see if it was all the same strain. but it is not. that is shitty man, i'm sorry.

Now I've heard of and seen entire bag seed crops hermie, and also seen feminized seed crops all hermie. If your workinf with fem seeds or bag seed that could be the problem.

Hermaphroditism can be genetic, meaning all of the offspring will carry on their tranny mothers hermaphroditic sex, or if all plants received light during the night cycle in the flowering stage this can also cause a 100% hermie turn-out.

Sorry about your luck, I would suggest reading up about hash and oil because a crop of 100% hermies will have more seeds that I have sperms. And, as stated earlier, those seeds are worthless because of how hermaphroditism is carried on through geneteics.

I would

a. Find a better source for clones (genetic problem, were the clones all from the same source?)
or
b. Find a better location to grow (light pollution, were all the plants in the same area?)

And just as a side note, light pollution affect Sativas much more negatively than Indicas.

No, not seeds, all clones. Even stranger from 2 completely different areas (1/2 of them), and 4 different strains (2 producers afaik).

That 5hit, no power plant here. :?: only regular overhead wires, that have never caused a problem before.

Hermie is a condition, and can't be spread, right?

If a female plant meets pollen, how does it show initially? If it begins by growing anthers, then that is how it must have happened...?

A pollinated female will not show male flowers, only seeds.

If you are in two different areas than you are most likely looking at poor genetics.

Have you grown before?

Were all the clones from the same source?

I don't believe in genetic hermies, unless you let a plant flower too long. Any plant can hermie. It is genetically inclined to reproduce and turns hermie to survive. You did something wrong along the way. Hermie seeds are ok too, they are just more susceptible to being hermie IF the same mistake occurs that forced a hermie to start with. Assuming they were female to start with.

No, as I said above, two sources, and two different areas of production (hundreds of miles apart). Both Inside and Outdoors.
I've never had a plant 'turn' male, I've always bought clones/cuttings.

Yes, I've grown legally for my own use for four years, all outdoors.
I had 1 very successful indoor hydro/flood crop, and am considering going all indoors.

I agree...how dark is your dark cycle?

Statistically Impossible! Are you absolutely 100% sure that every plant had female Pistils and Pollen sacs with bananas in them? Because female plants all have things called "Calyx" and it looks exactly like a single seed sac, there will be one at every node of growth.

I think you confused your all female plants for hermie plants and killed what would have been an excellent crop.

My opinion only since you did not provide pics so a definitive answer cannot be forthcoming.

Genetics, light stress, PH flux, ect...Tons of things. Most likely whatever stresses your plant can led to hermies.

I'll try and get ahold of my daughters camera... my cell phone just doesn't have the quality to show what I see.

I'm hoping the outside is just calyx, but I was hoping that when the inside went south.
I can believe, and even see the inside going hermie, I might even be able to nail down the day when the light leak occurred.
My hope is outdoors now, and that I'm just affected with hermie-fever!

:)

pics when/if able...

Thanks for all the response.

damn dude i hope you just mistaked your outdoor grow for hermie. all that work and patience down the drain. if my hole crop was fucked ide be infuriated

100% hermie is way outside of the box.

My only thought would be stress induced. Given you are the person who handles all of them, it kind of stands to reason you did something wrong. Did you do any thing different with this crop than the previous ones? Are you given to flatulence?
