I’ve always used the full set off Canna range nutes even though the Boost is a little expensive for 1L some sites it’s £60 quid but i find sites where I can get it for £50, Anyway I use the full range the Cannazym , Ryzotonic (Stinky shit that) A+B then PK when they need it and Boost as soon as I flip to encourage flower. I’m onto my 6-7 grow now and I’m starting to get raving results which I thought I could never grow in a million years. I grow in a 1x2 2M high tent and have 5 plants crammed into it lol

I have friends that swear by these nutes and have used them for 10-15 year plus and do. It use anything else apart from a drop or 2 off Superthrive.

So back to the question at hand, What nutes are you using and why? Just I’m thinking off changing for my next run.

In the past I've used General Organics and Dyna-Gro. Of those 2 I personally liked General Organics better but Dyna-Gro worked just fine. I preferred General Organics simply because it was just that, organic. Currently using technaflora but am still early into this grow.

I've been using an inexpensive product called VitaGrow for years. It's just basic salts, calcium nitrate, monopotassium phosphate, and a micronutrient blend. It has everything a plant needs and I get great results. I also use it on houseplants and outdoors in the garden. There is no reason to spend the ridiculous amounts of money they want for these so called cannabis specific nutrients so I don't. Cannabis is just another plant. Treat it like one and it will grow just fine.

General Hydroponics Flora 3 Part with Armor Si and Calimagic (I have RO h2o), the Armor Si is optional IMO. It is cost effective and I get great yields and excellent quality using it. You can't go by the label directions though as it's not formulated for cannabis. This stuff has been around since the 70's.

I have tried Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect line and even spoke with their techs on the phone before using it to make sure my mix and pH was gonna be perfect, crap results from it and it was expensive.

I tried Jacks 3-2-1 and for me it did well until about 20 days into 12/12 then things started looking hungry and as soon as I switched back to the GH things stabilized but the plants were stunted in that test room (current run in my journal - fuck I need to get a journal update posted with some recent pics).

So I am just gonna stick with the GH. I have been using it for 25 years! I am always changing my formulas for shits and giggles, but I always get great results with it. I have had success with it in hydro systems of many types, I have used it in peat based soiless mixes like Promix HP, Sunshine 4, Berger BM6 HP. Hydro I got the best results from a pH range of 5,6 - 5,8. In the soiless I have found 6,5 - 6,8 to be the happy spot.

Anyways I am gonna go get some pics and update my journal lol.

Ever hear the phrase "Don't fix it if its not broken". I also use the full line of Canna and ST. I found that with Canna less is more. Only other additive is CaMag because I run Coco.

Some interesting posts here guys cheers, If I had a pound or a dollar for the amouts off times I’ve heard that phrase from friends id be a very rich man, Can I ask how much boost you use during flowering? I use 60ml Per 20L buckets 2 off them. I follow the light feeding chart on the canna website.

Some have compared just cannas base a + b to the whole line and saw no difference of note.

Boosters and bloom add ons have lost a lot of support over the years, we use to be crazy for that stuff years back.

Im biobizz organic fish mix but cutting that half and half with plagrons organic bloom just to use it up - this veg and flower, oh how i miss the days of mixing five different things together, ill make tomorite work if i have nothing else even miracle grow for herbs lol

:-)

You have gave me a lot off advice on my growing kinggrow I sit and read your threads and it is to say you are knowledgeable, You mentioned currently mixing 5 different things up that’s what I’m currently doing now with my Ryzotonic Cannazym A+B Boost, Surely there just must be one nute where you can use for Veg and then use another veg for bloom, Will be a lot easier in my opinion.

Boosters and bloom add on's are basically just a money grab by nute companies. The majority of them are nothing more than MKP mixed with water. You can get a 50 lb bag of MKP for $70. A 20 lb bag for $32.99 with free shipping in the US from MB Ferts.

The fox farm line has worked fine for me. I don't use them all, but big bloom, tiger bloom, and grow big are the main ones I use, with a little cha Ching ..

I am using Aurora roots organic players pack and not happy with it at all. I just started growing again after a few years and though I would try a different nute line then what I previously used. I wish I just stuck with what worked for me in the past, Always giving me excellent results with no problems and so simple. The Aurora pack had like 7 Bottles of stuff to mix and I think why the hell am I doing these mixtures when I can get everything I need in one freaking bottle?!
So I will be going back to general hydroponic Flora Nova Bloom ( even in veg) with botanicare Cal Mag in coco. In hydroponics system same with some 3 ml hydrogen peroxide for root cleansing added and that’s it.

Grow an extra plant and sacrifice it to trialling other ferts or just a + b of what you got no add ons. Its easy to change just dial it in on one plant before you make any major changes.

A lot require two bottles, its not that bad :-)

Most basic ferts here dont cost much more than your average shop bought bottle though and it is the add ons that up that price by a bit mainly.

If you got multiple or big tents price becomes an issue but i barely notice it in my puny setup.

Price of some boosts and stuff is stupid when theres plenty of cheaper options :-)

Trying out maxibloom this round but I can't seem to get it dissolved. Using hot tap water and shaking it in a jar and I'm getting a lot of sediments on the bottom.

I used the whole canna range for some years until one day I ran out of boost so I stopped adding it, seeing zero difference I dropped all the other parts and stuck to A and B with a tiny amount of pk late flower.
Again I never saw a drop in quality or quantity so I just kept it that way.

I recycle my coco so if its had a few runs I might add a dose of cannazym to help break down the old roots.

I chuck a bit of Epsom salts in flower every now and again and add wilkos kelp a couple of times in veg or when transplanting.
None of those things cost much and a small amount lasts a long time.

I just got a ltr of dutch pro bloom to try out. Mostly because canna coco A and B is the same for both cycles and fancied trying a slightly different ratio for bloom only.

Do you use the same amount of A and B or bump it up some? I would love to not have to buy boost anymore. Like you said I would still add Cannazym at the end. I also run coco and reuse it
