I'm using a fairly lame 1/4" stainless spade/plow tool and I'm looking to upgrade to something that will not only pickup more rosin from parchment, but hopefully meet the following requirements...
  • Easy to clean with iso (my current tool has a dimpled pattern not too far up the shaft from the spade head. On big pulls, rosin can get in the dimples).
  • It has to be stainless steel
  • Good to grip, which is useful in trying to really drag the last of the rosin from the tool.
I've seen some of the tool sets. But, I thought I'd check here before I start throwing more cash at this hobby.

BTW, anyone having great luck with the silicone-ended tools? I've found them to be next to useless with many different types of rosin.

Thanks..!!

I mostly use a piece of parchment paper wrapped on my finger to collect. Only time it doesn't work is when the rosin is buttery.
But with the paper on my finger, collecting couldn't be any quicker, except maybe with directional flow?
