what should i add to fox-farms soil if anything ????

hello fellows,

i'm waitin on my seeds but otherwise ready to go. i still am a little confuzed about soil. i know fox farms is the best...and that i should add perilite to it as welll as rocks/gravel on the bottom of my 1gal pots for drainage ? if so whats the ratio of soil,perilite n rocks/gravel ?? I'm also lost on nutes..i think i'm going to go slow on nutes..none on the first grow so i can see what a no-nutes grow looks like.

rubbermaid grow 300w CFLS . first grow will be lowryder.

I add perlite till i think its enough in there for aearation. Ive never used ff soil so cant help ya there. I make my own super soil.. Its cheaper n i can make alot of it.. Good luck.. Sry i wasnt more imformative for ya

vermiculite i believe it. perlite you can do a 50%FF 25perlite 25%verm. just got some myself but could not get verm so thinkin doing like a 70/30 ratio and it will be good fox farm contains mostly everything already for ya such as guano, and worm casting and hum and all that good stuff.!! =) well happy grows it!! smoke one!

I use Fox Farms Ocean Forest straight out of the bag with no alterations and I think the results speak for themselves. Check out my journal for more info and and a good way to use that soil with their nutrient trio.

when i used soil i used fox farm. i mixed the ocean forrest and light warrior high yield, mixed 50/50. its a little strong for seedlings, but it was an awesome mix. i just had to flush the pot once in the first week and it solved the issue. here is what i got out of it, 2 gal pots.

im actually doing a little experiment on this right now. i have 2 bubba kush and 2 haze plants in fox farms ocean forest straight out of the bag, and 2 more bubbas and 2 more hazes in 2/3 ffof and 1/3 perlite. the plants with the extra perlite are exactly the same as the plants without it, so i conclude that ffof is great out of the bag and doesnt necessarily need anything added, its already got perlite anyway. :weed: hope that helped

Go to FF's site, they've got a feeding schedule. On the back of the Ocean Forest bag it states that the soil will need supplementation after 30 days for best results.
