After a bad wind storm one of blew over and a few of the branches turned black and buds turned brown

That's some kind of rot. Late stages.

Anything I can do about it ? Plant has at least three weeks to go. Or should I just cut it off and save the rest of the plant?

I already cut off the brown buds but that black stem still has a lot of healthy looking buds on it

Well of course cut that off. Cut well below the rot. Clean all the other dead crap out.

Snip off all the dead stuff to stop the spread of any rot.

Yes it is. The outer part of the stem that is affected is where the plant transports from the roots to the rest of the plant.

You can see the calyx's already starting to turn brown. That branch will die.

Is there anything I can do to help out the rest of the plant or prevent this in the future? I was about to switch my room to flower and bring in some of the longer flowering sativas but I'm not sure I want this one near any of my other plants.
