The teddy bears are people that don't understand what they are doing wrong. It happens in real life ALL the time.

She persecutes him and it teaches the children guilt and honesty through Fin. (since it was his fault and has to admit it)

lol are you talking about to kill a mockingbird? most overrated novel ever. the Great Gatsby was magnificent though.
I hate the things you have to read where the teacher imposes meaning on them, makes them symbols. i mean its different when its obviously an allegory or a symbol, but dont try to impose meaning on the meaningless. should have learned that from their college one night stands

why do people that want to write feel the need to take lessons from (most likely) a writer that never made it?

why write anyway? we have tv and ipads and shit...
