What To Do About those Dam Deer

Shotgun usually works...
Please don't go killing deer because theyre eating youre fucking weed plants. Piss around the area, make a lot of racket, and get some predator urine. i also bring my hounds around my spots because they get a kick out of chasing deer (which is a shitty habit and might get them shot or hoofed one day). anyways, a fence can help but it has to be over 4 ft at least

And by the way in early summer you dont wanna let your dogs get neer a doe because they'll probably get hoofed, thats when they have their fawn. happened to my brother's pup

There's no where for the dam deer to go around here because their cutting down all the woods> bastards

Deer prefer open land to graze , and deforestation only supports a higher population in the end .. The more open land to graze the higher the numbers of herd count .. Remember this when the population doubles from the tree removal ..

My Indian grandfather told me of his time as a boy and being taught to track deer out of necessity , as the deforestation of the area had not been done in his era and deer were a rare commodity unlike what most people believe .. I was told that my great grandfather was known to track a deer for miles in order to make the kill .. Nowdays we sit and bait them in and call it hunting lmao ..

Good luck with the deer , I have found human hair and urine to be the best at keeping them at bay , soap bars work well too burried around the zone but they are most beneficial when wet .........PotSnob

Good thing about deer and weed is if you make it to flowering they seldom eat your buds. They love the foliage during veg. Haven't lost a plant in bud to deer in over 30 years of outdoor growing. Groundhogs on the other hand like weed in veg and bloom. I've lost more plants to groundhogs then deer. Dogs are great for keeping deer away from your grows.

i saw on browndirts movie that soap works and I used it and so far so good. I also have used human hair.
Soap work's sometimes. Only thing is that it contains a lot of fat, bringing in all kinds of pests like rat's and field mice and many other threats. But at least a person can deal with those types of threats. Deer that are born and spend there whole lives around corn piles and tree stands and such are so used to human scent that if they want your bushes they will just walk right over your soap and hair and piss and eat your whole fking patch. Especially when they are rutting, they are exhausted, thirsty, starving and just plane don't give a shit.

The vented bottle of piss was a great idea plus rep! Definitely helps on the reapply after rain issue!
Also anyone w/ a cat or knows someone who has one can use the waste out of the litter
(everyone collects it in bags anyway when they clean out the litter box) take it w/ u and spread it around the site perimeter. Like some previous posters have said, deer have a phenomanal sense of smell and will smell a meat eating predators feces QUICK! (*even if it is just a measly ol house cat they don't know wtf's been eating meat but something!) Also piss around your spot as much as u get a chance. Marks your territory!
One other popular deterrent is to tie fishing line between trees at foot intervals up to about 4 feet. The deer hit this and it startles them and they avoid that area next time. (Hopefully)

When growing in Garberville (humbodlt area has its share) we use chicken wire for the ground and animal blood around the plants and grow area.

This always worked for us. The animals attracted to the blood do not care about ur babies and the ones that care are repelled by the blood

But as the saying goes... what ever works right LOl

Fishing line was mentioned that works, gotta pull it tight tho and when they touch it they're spooked. Bounty fabric softeners too, tie a few of them around... deer hate them. Or wear an old shirt for a few days until it's nice and ripe and leave it in your patch tied around a limb nearby.... use a green shirt, not white for obvious reasons.

I have deer all over the place where i grow and peeing around my plants has worked. I have watched them come within feet of my plants, jumping, playing around, and eating everything else in sight but no nibbling on the girls for 2 successful harvests.

Also leaving a carcass around your plants will also work do not use the ribs unless broken down everything needs to be level so no one sees them

another thing is to shoot off a couple rounds at a squirrel let them lay so they decompose making the deer deter away from the area
