i have been veging my clones for about 5 weeks, pk & strawberry cough. i have veged before for a long cycle and never had any overgrown root systems, but i never used subculture m & subculture b. im not saying that having a overgrown rootsystem is a problem. i have a very small veg chanber 2 ft wide x 3 ft long and 4 ft tall the nuit tub holds 3 gall of fluid and holds 12 3" net pots. like i sayid i have used this system lots of times and never had a problem transferring the 3" pots into flower ,separating the roots was next to imposable . i was very delicate trying not to brake any. my question is there anybody out there that is using the subculture?. am i just being to cautious about the roots braking?, could i have just cut them? if thae are growing like mad wont they keep growing after i put them into flower? i just started a new grow, moved into a biger room and stepped up to a 600w DWC system . my flower chanber was only 4 ft tall, with a nuit tub inside i only have 3 ft for plants. i needed to keep them smaller than 10" in veg so they dont top out. my new room will let me grow as big as i want . so my first cycle i veged until 24". i like there size but i didn't like separating the roots.some of them were kinda small because the biger ones covered them. i need to work on a system for more even veging. here is a pix of my new grow room and i only visit my grow room on the week end and i hope i havent hurt them to bad, i wont know how i did until friday. im having trouble with a pix ill add it soon.
