What to do with a revegging auto? Worth letting it just keep on keeping on?

I have a Gelato auto that started indoors, and a week or so into flowering it started throwing off single leaf branches (rather than 3/5/7/9 etc) So I assume it is revegging. The other three plants with which it was growing are just fine. It has been outside for a couple weeks now and continues to grow vertically, but the colas are really thin and whispy. I have the space on my patio for it so I’m just letting it carry on. I’m in SE Virginia, so it will hit 12/12 mid to late Sep. I’ll prolly up pot it to a 5 gallon container soon (it’s in a 3 gallon airpot now), and I can add worm castings and bat guano etc to the new pot around its perimeter to give it a shot in the ass too.

is it worth just letting it go and hope it eventually goes back into flower mode?

Is there any reason not to keep it? I look at growing as a series of experiments...
If you don't finish, you won't know the results..

Autos can't reveg. More than likely it's shitty auto genetics. I had an auto do the same indoors on 18/6 lighting. Calyxs all stacked into foxtails over the entire plant. There was no solid bud formation over any of the plant. I eventually just binned the plant because I didn't have a use for it. You may want to finish it for bubble hash, edibles, etc.

My guess is shitty genetics, sorry. If it were me I'd put it under 12/12 and see if it would organize it's bud structure. If you don't have lights that you can flower with I'd stick her out doors like you're planning assuming you have the room and won't want the space for another plant. Good luck

Yeah, I had an alleged photoperiod that started autoflowering under 18/6 lights. I was really pissed. We all occasionally hit shitty, fucked up genetics.

Genetics is crucial, you can do shit about that.
Actually once you learn to grow the rest of your grow life tends to center around the search to buy better tech if you're indoor, better lights are always a topic of interest and the search for better genetics. It's actually kind of fun and expensive LOL

Best hobby ever because you never reach a point where you are completely bored.

I am still in the first part of your story bro… I have not experienced “the real” succesful grow, hopefully it is yet to come. Always see something was not perfect, but it might be just me climbing up the curve and see what I have not seen before. For somebody it can be run of his life but for me another fucked up run and waste of time and effort… totally agree with you, this is hobby you will never get bored. Genetic is going to be bigger and bigger issue, it is no longer secret that it is already fucked up and there is no way back. People who already grown something know how it is important and on the other side people who selected or even breeded their own genetics know how preciuos is that. For a common person it might be dangerous letting other people know. Once you want to have a huge profit, quality struggles.

Do you keep her on a direct sunlight all day long?

Excellent point,

Yes, in the sun all day long. It was the runt of the litter during early veg stage but eventually caught up size wise So I agree it’s prolly bad genetics. I just tied it down to get the taller colas at the edges horizontal and expose the center of the plant to more light. No sweat to let it keep going and if it’s not worth much into the bubble bag it goes...

outdoors she goes...nothing ventured nothing gained...sunlight is free.

I had similar issue when I had plants cooking by the sunligh on the balcony. It is not about burn, but more about pot temperature. True is that your plant definitely looks like reveg. When you are sure about she is an auto, than the strong sunlight might be the culprit. I have no other idea what can cause this unless its just photo…
Edit: kinda missing trichromes, where the seed came from?

It was a freebie I got for Quebec Cannabis Seeds. The other three free seeds turned into bushes for me and are doing well...
