What to do with EC/ PPM is 5 when using a 8 stage RO System (Reverse Osmosis) Nutes

OK I have been growing fora year now and because I now have Well water, I went and got a 8 stage RO system with a UV light.

So the Tap water I used before had a PPM reading of 120-150, and when I added the manufactures recommended nutrients per Liter my PPM was right on with the recommended PPM on the Manufactures bottle.
Now I have a RO system and the PPM is 5 before adding anything and when I add all the same quantities to the same amount of water my ppm is really low.

I did them side by side to make sure I wasn't making a mistake somewhere.
So for both I used the exact same levels of nutrients and in the same matching 5 Gallon Jugs, and I got these readings....
Tap water and Nutrients PPM was 1200-1300
RO Water and Nutrients PPM is only 300

Can anyone help me out?? do I add more to get my ppm up or leave it my levels.

thats weird, if u put the same amount of nutes then i would just use as is
and make a mental note that, that is ur full strength ppm

just go by what the mix is calling for. You will not have the same ppm using ro water since ro water usually has a 0-40 more or less ppm where as well water has some minerals and what not mixied in already thus containing a higher ppm compared to ro water. so dont worry about it much make sure you study your little one after you feed her to see of any signs letting you know that shes not happy with the water.

Thanks for the Replies!!! I never used my well water (the well water ppm is 800) so I couldn't use it unless it was filtered. So before I got the RO System I was driving once a week to my moms in the city and filling up x8 5 gallon jugs and letting them sit for 3-4 days. there ppm was around 130. So I did another side by side tested a few hours ago, and I just find it so weird that my ppm is 600 under the tap water to RO water. Not 120 ppm off like it was before adding the nutrients.
Am I the only person using a 8 stage RO with UV system for there grows?

Hey Everyone I just wanted to let everyone know I found out why my TDS reading were so off between the 2.
My HM Digital TDS Meter I bought in march is defective!!!!! I called them 3 time and all 3 time the same nice girl answered after 2-3 rings. She walked me thought some tests with the meter, and it failed so There shipping me a new one no charge. I'm shocked at there service it was amazing!! I'm so mad I just spent 100 on my 3rd Hanna Ph meter. the other 2 broke and I sent 4-5 emails to there tech department to help me with the PH meter because I couldn't get anyone on a phone, and i didn't get one response back.. If I knew HM had service like that I would have saved $20 and bought there PH meter.
Well I really hope putting this in the post I'll help at least one person from making the same stupid choice i just made.
DON"T buy a Hanna Meter if you a chance to get a HM Digital Meter. How can Hanna fix my meter under the warranty when I cant even talk to a person at the head office???
Thanks for all the replies and your help!

Well since you you put it that way!!
I have another question.
I have a large basement with 3 rooms. 1 for moms and veg, and 2 for 12/12. Im running 2 1000w in each flower room. I do SOG under all lights using a BCuzz soillessmix in 4x4 boxes I built.
Well Im only getting 1.5lbs a light, and my goal and plan for moving here was I needed to pull close 10lbs a month. I have some cash and want to change or add to my rooms either with more lamps, or some light movers. Or should I switch to Hydro tables?
I'll post photos but should I start a new post?

u would get more responses from another thread, but ill give my opinion
u can switch to hydro if u want, but id stay with what u r used to...
i would opt with the light mover...it will cover ur area more efficiently, but there r other factors that will contribute to ur yeild besides light
for example co2,not over feeding,root space,root areation,and overall enviroment
u said u grow in 4in boxes?maybe look into bigger pots...that should increase ur dramatically
hope that helps:bigjoint:
