what to do with Gangster Deer?

Go to any nursery and ask for help many people have problems with deer in their gardens I personally use an electric fence with a solar battery. the deer are only afraid of people during hunting season.

Perhaps if you caught one deer, and then tortured it slowly in your patch so the other deer can hear it's shrieks and pained howls of suffering, they will be too scared to come near your patch. Don't torture it too long or the others might stage a rescue operation. Just do it long enough so they get the point, and then drive by in your 4WD and dump it right outside their caves with a mouth stuffed full of fan leaves. That'll learn 'em.

around here it's always hunting season if the deer are gettin cocky

chain coyotes to nearby trees and don't feed them often. If you were a deer would you want to go near a hungry coyote?

just get a dog- build him a decent pad and set him up next to the patch
plenty of good dogs at the pound wanting to be treated well
the deer will not come around

Also just make sure they are covered with chicken wire or something to protect them when they are small.

Fishing line. String it up all around your plot. I like to tie the end of the line to a tree/sapling about 2 feet about the ground, and walk around each one of my plots tying it to different spots. I will then go ahead and make a bunch of passes around a different hiehgs making sure that if a deer were to walk up unsuspectingly, it's gonna get all fucked up and tangled in the mess scaring it away.

I spray beer cans black and leave 4 of them open around the perimeter of the plot, this keeps slugs bugs and deer away. Also, Coyote pee pee or Fox pee pee work really good as well. Depending on how often you go to your plot and how many plots you have, will determine whether you should bring out a weapon of some sort. Deer will only not go to that area for a couple of days after spooking them out. As an avid hunter i know this. However, deer are pretty dumb. I have killed a deer from a treestand, gutted the deer and left the gutpile there. I decided to be lazy and try sitting in the same stand the following morning, and shot a nice 8 point where i killed a doe the following night. So the smell of a dead deer is not a deterrant. Also, humans do not have a hormonal scent in their pee, making it not very effective at detering deer. I have pissed on my tree that i was standing in and have had deer walk right in. Fox Urine is the way to go, or if you can find it, bear pee.

I have no idea how to help, but this does remind me of a dream I had last night. I was outside, by my plants, and I noticed tons of small birds so I pushed them away. Then I noticed a white pelican, and I said "come over here whitey". The bird flew to me with it's big beak out, and freaking attacked. I also had this plant I was growing, it had a overly long stem so I started low stress training it. Pretty crazy dream.

deer are weed thieves reincarnate. shoot them.

mothballs, soap, pissing when you're there, hair. all so-so methods. nothing is going to be 100% effective it depends on how comfortable the deer are with humans. i bought some animal repellent from wal-mart last year it seemed to work if i used it frequently. it contained sulfur, egg whites, black pepper, and some other things. maybe you could give that a try, its in the plant section of the store.

human scent scares deer pretty bad. at least ive noticed that when i go out hunting. but it depends some deer get use to humans. id recommend a mossberg 500 to get rid of em. if you dont want to kill em have a dog pee around your grow spot or some other predatory animal. another thing to do would be to put a tall fence around it. and depending on how hungry they are id make it as strong as possible. friggan deer go after my tomatoes all the time. if all else fails the best method would be an electric fence

hot pepper powder like some cayenne. deer hate capsicum just mix it with water and spray it on they wont touch that shit.

honestly i would just "freezer" one of them..... even if its poaching. after you shed the blood of one deer, as long as its close to your grow the rest of them will stay away.

we have a real white tail problem where i am, 3 years in a row i lost plants to local deer.....now i just poach one dear and they never touch my plants.

just my honest opinion, and it does work.

The fishing line has been pretty effective for me. I combine it with rabbit guard or chicken wire. If I could just figure out these damn gangster spider mites, life would be so much easier.

use paintballs, u can go nuts it wont injure them but it will sting em good

even low powered bb guns would prolly make em run off

Yeah, pellet guns are really inhumane unless it's a kill shot, and with a pellet gun it's definitely not going to be a kill shot.


I would do the paintball gun, or order a high powered airsoft gun.

I say that's an option compared to painball guns because the ammo is a LOT cheaper than paintballs.
