Hey yall. You guys helped me so much getting my stunted plants to actually grow. They're doing pretty good! Flowering nicely, lot of bud site forming. I'm in Connecticut, USA, and noticed tbe first signs of showing sex in late July, and the first pistils in early August. I was just wondering, for outdoor photo plants that you cant control the light, what do you consider the first day of flower? I started using flowering nutes on Wednesday, so I was thinking of counting that as day one, but I think they started earlier. Om just wondering for harvesting reasons as it gets cold in ct pretty early. Its not uncommon to see our first freeze at the end of oct.. anyway here are some pics I took today

Looks Sativa leaning. I’d guess it’ll be ready mid November at best. Looks nice though GL

Oh no. :( I really hope i can get them to last that long. I do have the sun room right next to the plants so maybe i can move them in there if it starts getting too cold. I was told it was an indica dominant hybrid but I agree with you that it looks motr sativa leaning. Especially the middle plant I have.

I dont normally count weeks anymore.. but back when i did i would start the count when they started really hairing out.. i would call yours the first week of flower.. so one week down 7-9 more to go
Is counting weeks not necessary when you're outdoor? I'm going to try by best to go by trichomes for harvesting when the time comes, but if I have to harvest early, I have to harvest early. They're predicting a warmer fall here so hopefully that is the case for me

I'm gonna keep it in the sunroom if it gets to the point where its too cold. It doesnt get as warm as the house but still way above freezing.

They do look very much on the sativa side . Given that it's a crapshoot when they'll finish here in CT . They're able to be moved and covered though so you'll have options should it get cold .

I've had plants make it well into November , SSH clones . In the early 80's we had a good Thai connection so on a whim we planted some . By December they were 12' tall and nowhere near ready .

The biggest enemy here is mold .

Oh youre in ct too? And ugh yeah I know its always humid here. My next grow I'm definitely gonna be getting strain that has a shorter flowering time for sure and a reputable seed bank and not some guy from my barber school over a year ago LOL
