What’s simplest drying and curing setup?

Hey, I'm new to all of this
Water curing looks pretty easy and reasonably quick, apparently offers a smooth smoke but loses some of the turpines but not the high. I'll definitely give it a whirl.
It looks like it's worth a look particularly if you're in a very high or very low humidity area; I'm the former, no wonder everything is so green!

You looking for simple, or best results? Simplest would be to cut branches, wet trim, then hang. Best quality is to take things slow, hang the whole plant then trim branches as stems become firm/crack when bent.

What kind of environment would plants be drying in?

The simple and best is to hang dry then jar after it smokes. You cannot alteranything by getting more technical and this works in a range of humidities and temps.

The best bud is produced this way and its not rocket science :-)

Grow sticky pot rich in sugars and short chain fatty acids. Then wait for it to cure.

Only garbage hydro pot has to be prayed to every 5 hours on an alter to convince you of its supremacy through the religious right of curing. Real bud just cures itself whether you deny it, pray to it or whatever.

Throw your npk trash where it belongs and grow for medical value, not record black market yield numbers and investor approved turnaround times. 90% of the internet growers think their bud is 10% stronger when they strip 10% of the fatty acids away.. They also think skunk is a terpene and sour flavor is a flavanoid. Buy a gardening book don't listen to these internet people.

These are the rules i like to go by....

If your humidity is over 60 wet trim it.

If your humidity is under 45 hang whole plant and dry trim.

Anything in between those numbers do whatever you want just keep an eye on it.

More leaves the slower it will dry but as in said above over 60 and u risk mold hanging whole plants.

Id keep temps between 60-70 if u can.

Just remember if in doubt or if things start going funky wet trim it. Rather have abit over dried bud then no bud at all due to mold.

What about a fan? I am thinking of just stringing some dental floss across my living room and hanging the whole plants or larger branches.

To add to that I was going to set up a fan to oscillate.

Then just keep an eye and trim/jar when ready.

There should be enough air exchange in your living room to be honest. We just dont want stagnant air where moisture can build to mold levels. Naturally air will circulatr in most houses, a fan near an open door or window would futher circulate air.

Ideally you would dry in a tent. I do it this way, very light intake. Desk fans at bottom blowing air gently towards the walls angled up slighty.

Once stem are almost snap dry, I cut buds and check rh. If over 70 I put them on a serving plate to dry til 65-68 which ever comes first.

Then jar on side lid off and on, like reverse burp, I feel it draws moisture out a little quicker and is the only way I've ever had sticky buds that are dry.

Once 66 or 65 I jar with decent burps like open jar an hour or two a day,

Once I hit 64 or a close 65, I jar and burp ever other day til I get it to 62-63.

Then I basically leave it til I open it for nuggets.

When rh is high roller buds in jar often, gentle.

That's my method:roll:

Your biggest mistakes are not quoting bud as 10-15% moisture when dry, no comprehension of equilibrium moisture content and thusly a lesser understanding of what air humidity means, putting bud that still has moisture left to release in sealed jars and finally drying in a tent when any room that periodically gets fresh air will work.

Im sorry but it needs to be said as most are oblivious to how to actually dry and make up overcomplicated routines to substitute real learning :-)

Idk lol I got some jars hovering 62-64 for months and it's great. it's less complicated doing than it was typing this up, that's for sure haha

I like the whole plant hang dry. Chop it, hang it in right atmosphere, let it dry fully (branch snap).

Then de-budding the stems is a cake walk and trimming is way faster not having scissors gunk up nonstop. Especially since most the leaves will break up while you are breaking the plant down.

Then cure.

I dont see how jar humidity is or was ever important and for a very long time totally uneeded.

The mystery starts to unfold more when you see that the cure is totally uneeded and merely obtaining dried bud will do for the highest of Quality.

Sad but true most have no idea or experience in the subject but i urge you to expand your horizons futher :-)

I don't actually smoke, so I can't attest to if my way even works well.
But, it smells amazing, looks great, they say its smooth and flavorful.

I don't know what more I could get
