Whats the difference between PPM meters

OK so my Blulabs PH PPM Temp meter just shorted out. I spent about 200 bucks for this meter 2 years ago.

I was wondering what are the differences between these meters. Why did I spend 200 bucks for a meter that measures the same thing as a 76 dollar meter on ebay.

I can spend the money again, but is it worth it?

well you'll need a meter. the difference is accuracy. the $200 meters are generally more accurate than the $76 ones. but the cheaper one will still work.

because the one you have reads faster more accurate and have auto temperature compensation. My hanna meter which reads ph/tds/temp and has a unique feature called cal check make sure my meter is well calibrated accurately, plus its water proof.

I just ordered a set of 2(ph2 and ppm2.5) off ebay. They were the best price I could find with the level of accuracy I wanted. They only cost me 85 for both, and their made by control wizard.

So my Bluelab has a 5 year warranty, does anyone know how long it takes for them to turn it around? I think I'm gonna have to go get some cheapies in the mean time

Are the hanna primo "wands" ok for backup meters?

unfortunately, the shop where it was bought i in California. The closest Bluelab dealer is about a 3 hour drive from me.

So are the Hanna wands any good for a couple of weeks?
