Whats the smallest you can go?

So i have been thinking about this and was wondering wot was the smallest space you could use to grow in and still get some sort of yeild at the end. I have an old speaker and i know a lot of people will think this is too small, but i'm going to give it go just as an experment i think. So i will be using bag seed as it's cheap and this is only an experment after all. Was wondering how people would go about growing in such a small space, would u LST it? Or hav it in veg for hardly anytime at all so it didn't out grow the box? Any opinions on growing in such a small space would be great! Hoping to finish making it tomorrow, not sure if i'm going to wait though till my grow i have going at the minute has finished before i start this one off. Don't want to much work lol.

im kind of interested in this expirement i have 2 8 inch tall speakers i was gonna grow with one cfl and try to get like a nice 4 gram Kola plant lol like maxmum half foot tall,that would be sweet,grow like one of those every 2 weeks aahahaa

Make sure to do a growjournal on that I have also thought about tall speakers and maybe pc cases..

Yer i know what you mean there! I'd much rather have a lot smaller grow box that i can keep well hidden and have to harvest little plants every month or so. Than having a big visable cab and only harvesting once. May seem like hassle but it's better than being caught in my opinion!

If it all goes wrong and is too small nothing lost, hasn't cost me anything so far. And i can always just use it to veg in

I successfully grew 6 0.0000005 m plants in a matchbox only using an led i stole from my remote control and got my pet mouse to blow on them to circuate the air. I yielded about 0.00000000001g's but it was greattttttttttt!!!!!!! (Sorry) too much Cobra and smoke!

To the OP,

Depending on the size on the speaker it will work well, I have seen pictures of a PC case grow on the net a couple times and looked sweet. My advice is research "micro grow marijuana" and you will find a bunch of information talking about growing in a small space and concealing it.

The growing in a matchbook comment is hilarious.

Well i have finally finshed setting up my speaker. So will start a grow jounrnal when i get round to trying it out!

alright man,keep me informed,cause i have a couple boxes that r like 2 feet high 2 feet wide and im wondering if one of them would work?as like a growing room,a small one

Thx not sure how it will work out yet though! Was going to wait till my current grow had finished but i'm excited to experment and see how this turns out lol. Just not sure about the cost of having two cabs running though. The speaker only has a pc fan and 4 20watt cfl's in it though. If anyone knows how much it will cost me to run or how to work it out that would be great. The sticky is too complcated for me! Plus i have no electric bills so it was a bit difficult. Would be happy with a rough idea though so if anyone knows how much about this will cost to run in the UK then please let me know! thanks.

i used a 10gal rubbermaid and with only 3 23 watt cfls the heat was up to 110 degrees with a fan. i needed more light, a bigger fan, a bigger grow space(30 gal rubbermaid) and ice in order to keep the lid closed and the temp around 85. im now using 7 23w cfl's in the 30 gal rubbermaid. how do you keep the temp down in a speaker box or computer case and still keep it stealth?

I have no idea sorry guess it depends where in world u live, i'm in the UK so it's normally quiet cool here. Turned it on for a couple of hours eariler and my temps didn't go over 80, only have the 60mm fan extracting the air out the speaker too! Think it most be where i live! Cos in my other grow i have a 125watt dual cfl in my cab, and am only using a pc extractor fan taking the hot air out of there at the moment and my temps in there rarely go over 80! Did hav a bathroom extractor fan instead to start with but it turned out the pc extractor fan keeps it as cool but is a lot quieter so switched back to that. If my temps get high i just put a 500ml bottle of frozen water in my cab brings my temps down by 5ish. But then it's the middle of July here, and i'm sat in my coat frezzing! Maybe i'm just lucky for temps not to be such an issue for me.

Haha just had a quick look at that, will have to look again later when i have more time. Dam i can't see the pics though as not registered. Intresting all the same! I'll be happy if i get anything at the end of this!
