Whats up with my ballast?

hey guys, i just bought a 600w hps from someone and I dunno what the writing on it means, and it looks different too. I know I can have up to a 600w hps bulb in there but why does the white outlet look like it does? I have the long black thing that should hook up to it but it is a standard 3-pronged plug with a ground that will plug into any wall outlet. Do i need an adapter to make this work with it? and also, why does it say 208v only? it has a little chart in front with 4 input voltages and how many amps on the right side. what does that mean?

thanks all

ive never used one of those but its says it can be made to be 120 volt. but then some one writes 208v only. it will work on 220 volt wired the way it is.
im taking it that the white plug is for the cord to go to the light bulb.
what does the plug look like on the end of the black cord?

well this one didnt come with that cord that the light is supposed to plug into but I have one of my own. thats what i was saying bc its the normal 3-pronged one that fits into any regular power outlet in your home and the one at the end of the ballast looks like one that i've never seen before. do you think it could be european? would i need an adapter for it?

thanks man

i would get the correct cord to go with that ballast to match the plug.
since im not fully familiar with that ballast check out here and you can contact growbright by email. maybe even get the cord you need.
if you click on the 1000w hps it brings you to a page that has the 6oo also.

Found out what it is. That connection is called HYL for High Yield Lighting. couldn't find it at Home Depot or Lowes. Had to find it on HTG Supply and order it. works great now.
