Does anyone know why HSO has stopped seed production? Is it because of some hang up from the brexit? Im just curious. I have a hankering to grow out some sub par indicas and they have some decent genetics for the price. Now Im considering some Barneys Farm gear and thats just scary. If anyone knows what up please share.

I dont know about HSO. But what is scary about Barneys Farm gear? I'm impressed so far wi a BF strain that I'm growing now outdoor! I grew one indoor last winter and it was literally as they described it on their website.

I guess. They sure have been down for a good while now. I read somewhere a few years back that they have their seeds produced in Spain. So i didnt know if this was a brexit issue or not. It seems to have thrown a monkey wrench in a lot of other seed transactions.

Hear that. I have a list of six or seven that I can't get my hands on that were readily available a year ago. SUCKS :wall:

Nice Colors! Ive actually grown their Laughing Buddha with good results but theyre very hit and miss with the friends I have that grow indicas. Hermie issues late in flowering and stuff like that. With HSO i never had anything like that and their crosses were very consistent Havent heard anything bad about the runt muffin yet. its a stellar looking plant for sure

They got in trouble with the law in Spain where they used to operate. They were stealing electricity. https://www.guardiacivil.es/es/prensa/noticias/7613.html

I was always a little sketched out by their efforts to look like an American seedbank and to make it seem like the seeds came from California.

Edit: La Mota, Dinafem, and HSO all had the same disclaimer added to their website about not being able to process orders added at the same time; I have my suspicion that HSO was essentially selling dinafem.

Thanks, yeah I think every breeder has 1 or 2 strains that are crappy. But most just freaking rock your world. This BF runtz muffin is the real deal. BUT, on the flip side I personally have heard alot of complaints about some of Barneys Farm beans in the past from some reputable growers around here! So yeah probably kinda hit n miss. bongsmilie

They are both ran by the same Spanish company,,Pot Sistamek,,Humboldt seed organisation was helped to get set up by Nat from Humbolt seed company ( american) ,he says as much in his interview with Kevin Jodrey,,so maybe he sent them genetics,,
So two brands same company,,

Man i would have never figured that. Their prices sure arent the same. My friend grew out the blueberry muffin and it was average at best. Not to mention spending $120 on 10 seeds for only 2 females. I may check out their pineapple crossess one day though

Yeah man ,but I think its easy to get the two companies mixed up,,,I believe Blueberry Muffin is from Humboldt seed COMPANY,,(US),and the Spanish company is Humboldt seed ORGANISATION,,,,all the best,,

It's too bad HSO is gone. Very good seeds for the price. I have a Gorilla Breath in veg that I'm hoping is good.

Only took em 20 years and US genetics lol
It is true Barneys did Basically RIP U.S. genetics and then bred in another different strain. Just so they could slap a trademark symbol on it. That doesn't take away from the fact that Barneys Runtz Muffin is still a killer strain. I know for a fact! :hump:
