I prefer coco with perlite, with AN coco nutes(mostly base very little additives.)Every one hates on AN but it’s just easier and no ph problems it has been consistent but then again every time I’ve tried dirt it was a disaster.

Another option somewhere in the middle is fox farms coco loco, it’s says it’s coco but it has lots of other stuff in it and I like using it and have had great results with it alone or mixed in with coco.
