Nice lights but the only issue I see re. lighting is that some of the plants have characteristics of plants that haven't received much light in that some of the plants have large internodal space and a limited number of large leaves. That's a minor point.

The larger issues the leaf tips drooping which could be over watering or too much N and there's also the long term nutrient imbalance which has caused leaf necrosis and discoloration.

The slurry test will help but it would be good to post information about watering practices, nutrient mixture, temperature history, RH values, wind speed/fans, and lighting information (PPFD if you're measuring it or hang height and dimmer settings). There might be a simple explanation but, if not, the more detailed info you provide, the easier it will be to understand that what's impacted your grow.

Symptoms could be the result of underwatering as well, imo. Nutrients get concentrated when moisture content is low. The droopy tips look like n. tox, dark green, shiny leaves, also lead me to believe n. tox.

Good info.

"dark green, shiny leaves" — got it.

Which points to watering practices over an extended period (based on the extent of the discoloration)?

I wanted to suggest watering habits as well would ultimately cause these types of issues as well. Too much of a dry back followed by drenching the medium isn’t balanced. Do this a few times and you’ll have all sorts of issues. When it comes to soil a rule of thumb is that it’s never tooo wet or never tooo dry. Not a perfect science so no meters or gages needed. Just some good ol observation.

Thank you. I appreciate the explanation.

Thank you for the replies. Water habits I water from the top and also water from the bottom sometimes. Watering is an issue for me it seems. I try not to over water and I try and water when the top of the soil is dry. I also like to pick it up but and see.

Watering Practices, I try and water when the top soil is dry, I used to pick the pot up and feel how heavy which was my normal method. Nut mix is where I am really bad I just kind of mix shit together. Blood meal, Neem, Fish, bone meal, Kelp meal I have a lot of stuff to choose from so i just use a little of many things. Temp has been good never above 77 degrees lows 67 at night, Fan speed 2 maybe 3 on my vivosun fan, Humidity has been good low 60's, Lights cascade from 30% to 80% through the cycle, they are about 30 inches above the plants, I think the problem came after the Compost tea I brewed. I just through some stuff in a bag and brew it 3 days. Blood meal, Kelp meal, and added some fish concentrate I added water to dilute it but I guess not enough. Things were looking pretty good May 14th
I need to come up with a better nutrient build. When I water I normally top water and bottom water at the same time. sometimes I just add some water to the bottom of the pot If i think it needs a drink. Thanks for the replies.

I'm having trouble finding that sweet spot. I def think I went from very dry to wet often.

Love the big tent! I grow in a 2' x 4' so I'd get lost in a tent that size. And there's a chair in it—why not?! :-)

Your plants look great. Keep up the good work.

I'm a hydro grower so I can't offer any help in that area other to say that it is often an issue, based on my reading grow journals. I'm sure a soil grower will chime in and offer some insight.

re nutes — I use a res the holds 28 gallons of ferts and use RO plus a dry fert (jacks 3-2-1). I like the…accuracy of that approach. And "simplicity", as well. Yes, I have to measure things out but there's no question about that's I the res. Not suggesting you switch (your plants look great) but it is very cut and dried.

Oh, forgot 77 and 67—I found the comment in the Westmoreland thesis re DIF and he refers to a paper by Bok et al—"Bok et al. (2023) reported a significant increase in flower number but decrease in flower mass in cannabis grown at negative DIF (21/27 C) compared to 0 DIF (24/2C)."

The paper is a quick read. You might want to adjust your temps based on the paper. Interesting results all around, however.

All you need for aact is ewc, molasses, and a few gallons of water. You don't need to add all that other stuff. Just top dress with all that.

I think you are right. What should I do now?
I'd recommend cooking yourself up a new batch of soil and start over. Some here may have better advice for you, but that's what I would do. I'd also up your pot size in the future if you're attempting organic growing. 5's imo are too small to keep the soil stable, will lead you to chasing deficiencies & accidentally nuking the soil ect. ect. If you need help with building soil and/or top dressing what, when, and how much, go ahead and dm me, I'll help you out.
