I'm an anything glass kind of guy. When I smoke a joint I taste the paper, blunts are even worse for me. Metal has its own flavor too usually so I avoid it.
Sneak a toke, bong, pipe, glass spoons for hash knife hits anything glass.
glass screens too, can't stand the metal ones. the little jack lookin suckers the head shops try to get 3 bucks for

My favorite way to blaze it up is anything that deals w/ the smoke passing threw water. I just got a new Roor w/ A.c. and a carbon filter, i never cough & can take big ole fatty rips. I love it. Also i would use a magnifying glass to light it up.
