There is no way i would max out my plants right now I have two plant probably going to equal an elbow total , so i don't know why you would limit yourself.
what type of light do you use? i wish i could get a elbow from two plants under a 400w hps. i dont have real good patience, and i figure that would take months of vegging.

ill give you a couple examples of why you should limit yourself from true experience from people i've known.

a friend of mine was growing i think 18 or 20 plants in his closet, he was expecting to yield more than enough to pay for rent and smoke. my friend went to work, hurt his back and wrist (merchandise pickup @ sears) and he had to take a drug test for work. he had medical prescription, but his job didnt care too much, but they couldn't let him transfer to any different departments. he decided to quit because he had his plants going. he ended up getting less than a half pound and that was split between 3 people. he lost his job, lost his apartment, and had to stop growing due to lack of money and a place to grow.

another experience, expected 2 ounces per plant figured the math, and it would have paid for everything and electricity perfect. after harvest, he got less than half of what he thought. this means he made half as much money. and means he lost 50% of what he initially thought he would make, had to make a decision to pay the credit card from which he made the initial investment or the electrical bill and rent.

plus, all strains yield different.. some plants are common to get only 10-20 grams per plant, purple kush for example. and other plants such as cheese can get 1-3 ounces. another thing, for first time growers, its rare that someone can actually do everything right, or have the money to afford to fix everything right when it needs fixing. so low balls are just a safe way to not disappoint yourself in the end.

Running C02 with higher temps (faster transpiration) and more water can increase yield upwards of 200%

i see your point, but depending on ANY grow whether it be corn, wheat, or weed, is in every instance risky. the potential for losing your crop is always there. thats jus a gamble agriculturists take.

I dont think he said anything about paying his bills from the profits. Your friends played the game and lost. BooHoo for them. :-( No reason say you have to limit yourself to one ounce per plant.

So if im getting 1.5/kw. without co2.. If i were to make the changes to seal the room and invest in a controller, up the temps etc..
what would be an exspected yield increase. 2lb/kw???? or more??

Yield depends on how many watts you got, I'd say max out at maybe 2 grams a watt, I've never seen it but heard it, I shoot for 1 gram a watt.

all depends on the factors,,,,

i did three plants this run,,,,,

i cropped out about 1/5 today so far,,,

2000 watts of light,,,,,

final yield guess? won't know till they cure up,,,,,

my plan now is to put nine plants under my 400w hps. tell me wut you guys think about this idea:

im growing ken's grandaddy purple and im goin to clone it in about a week. i should have enough clones to sit 9 plants under my light, within 2-3 wks. if i were to do this and harvest 3 three plants a month, what do you think my average grow will weigh out to. im only asking cuz i smoke like 2 or 3 oz. a month and im trying to make sure ill have enough smoke when i harvest until the next harvest.
