When do you cut the fan leaves

lol. Are you looking to start a debate? Cause that what you'll get!

I say, never!! Except for some lower branches and all, known as lollipopping, so all the plants energy goes into the upper portion of the plant.

The only other time I pluck a fan leave is if it dies. They are there for a reason!! And they naturally die off when the time is right!!

That plant isn’t super dense, plus I don’t think it’s really needed with outdoor grows since you’ve got the sun.

I have seen people clear out the inside of really big thick outdoor plants though.

They are there for a reason!!
This is the thing that annoys me. You can't really say "strip the lower part of the plant to redirect energy", then say "let it be, the plant knows best." Either we're exploiting nature or we're not. I think we can all agree that there are experimental methods that provide zero or negative benefits, but let's not act like the plant even cares about maxed out yields or potency of either thc or terpenes. All it really wants to do is survive long enough to produce seeds.
