When should I flower? *Pics*

Just wondering when I should start putting the plants into flower mode... They have enough room to get between 5-5 1/2 feet tall. One is approx. 14" and the other is 16". The strain is Pot of Gold. Thanks in advance!

You can flower when you whant but...is the best you start to flowers when yours babes is around 8 to 15 inches!!!

Actually the best time to flower your plants is when it reaches sexual maturity, usually around the 5th to 7th week of veg, it's called preflower, and it's basiclly when your plant is telling you that she's ready to start her reproductive cycle.

its also best to keep it small cause light wont penetrate 5 feet

Yup.

Just because it can get 5'+ doesn't mean it should. Id start it flowering inside of the next 2 weeks.

thats right the indoor grower shoul keep em small or you will end up with a main cola and the rest of the canopy like 2 feet from the light growing almost useless weed..... almost useless thats why i scrog or lst


i checked out your grow faux, interesting experiment

i tried to keep my first grow small, and i did veg mine long enough to see sex, not sure how long i vegged can't remember, but i joined this forum sometime in august and my plant was about 2 to 3 week old already, and shes 8 weeks into flowering on sunday, so can someone with a brain do the maths and tell me how long i vegged her roughly?

Homegrownboy is dead on. preflowers and also the start of alternating nodes. at least according to the experts

yes definatley, she was on her 2nd set of alternating nodes before i flowered

Vertical lighting is the answer to a large plant dilema.

Yea i didn't det out to grow a christmas tree on my first grow, but its gone ok had to imprevise alot ya no lol
