when should i veg?

my grow has developed two true sets of leaves, ive seen thats when you should start veg but i dont wanna just go do that after hearing it from one person. im using a 6700 daylight fluorescent is that good?
help me out fellow stoners/growers

Umm.. if u have the plants growing now, and they have true leaves... you are vegin now lol 6700's should be fine

i usually just consider the 1st week after it pops the soil is the seedling stage. after that is veg. until you go to flower.

lol thanks guys, how long should i veg for? if im not mistaken veg length depends on grow room size? or is that flowering stage?
my little girl is prob 6-7 inches tall. ive heard height doubles during the veg or the flowering (i think its flowering not sure)

veg depends on how big you want your plant. i usually veg for 4-6 weeks depending on overall size.

I'd veg untill 1/3 of the box is full than flower, fill the other 1/3, and have the light and other measurements use the other 1/3. Box measurements would help tho

how long to veg.

imo from seed, you should veg. at least 5 -6 weeks. you want a mature plant before going to 12/12.
now you have grow room size to think about, especially the ceiling height and type of lights. this will determine how tall you can go.
plan on the plant to double in height by week 2-3 of 12/12.

each plant from seed will grow different, so you will have to decide if you want to lst, supercrop, top, mainline, or just let it grow vertical. some of these techniques will increase your veg. time slightly, but in turn will give you more tops with an even canopy.

i like to lst but next year i plan to mainline most and lst the rest.

I'm doing a 12/12 from seed right now,but i think vegging the same amount of time it flowers is a good thing for yield.For example indica 8 weeks veg and 8 weeks flowering,hybrids 8-10 weeks veg and 8-10 flowering and sativa 10-16 weeks although these times are ridiculous these are about accurate for my outdoor grows.
The general rule for indoors is to flower at 18 inches so a real time frame would be inaccurate,but strain depending if started @18 inches the expected finished product would be 3-6 ft in height.

I would think that veg time would be once the seed leaves have died away, given that all of their nutrients have been used up.. but I could be wrong.
