When to harvest short rider

The information is out there man. If you do a little research you'll see why some people are giving funny replies in threads like these.

Edit: How long they've been running or what strain is irrelevant really. They are guideline times on the seed info. You got to do it when the plant tells you its ready.

Just keep doing the reading and research! If you struggle to remember things then just take down notes in a notepad so you have something you can look at quickly. Eventually once you've checked your notes over and over it sticks In your head.

I wrote down the humidity and temp range and stuck it on the wall for the first week I was growing cause I kept forgetting and having to come back on here lol.

What's up bro......yeah short rider is pretty decent for autoflowers smoke......make sure your trichomes are at least 30% amber before you harvest....if you want a more couch lock buzz let it go till it's 50-60% amber.......no matter how ready she looks to harvest her trichomes will tell you when she's ready

the fan leaves will start to fall off and the hairs will turn red ...... when 75% roughly of the hairs are orange/red and receded the plant is pretty much done gaining mass ...... or go by the trichs

Last 2 posts were helpful to me. Mine are 10 weeks in flower and I have milky trichomes, but not a single amber one. All the fan leaves still seem healthy. About half of the hairs have started to turn brown. Strain description said 8 weeks. I hope the plants don't croak before the buds mature

I concur with Johnnygrows420 and tekdc911, go by the trich coloration, get yourself a pocket microscope to check your trichs so you're not having to guess or strain your eye balls.
Check a few different buds, some may mature faster then others. If some are ready some aren't take the ready ones and come back for the rest later. Or take them all and feel the differences in the high between em. Your bud, your choice ;)

One thing I learned with the time the seed company tells you...add a couple more weeks usually...if your gunna wait for some amber trichomes I have taken them to 70%amber but I wouldn't even try to take it that far if you want a nice couch lock .....Wacker down at 50% keep in mind some buds might ripen before others so make sure your checking multiple buds and not just one or two....tops usually always ready first....don't be afraid to harvest as it ripens....hope that's helps bro....looks nice by the way!

I check them all too much..lol...I disregard the popcorn down low. The one plant is way ahead of the rest. I broke a lower branch with a dinky bud when watering...microwaved and smoke it. It was a high strung buzz for me so I'll wait for the still absent amber on the rest. I have Northern Lights and AK 48 photo period over vegged on either side, so I think I'll switch to 12/12 and these Short Riders will get done someday. I'm smokeless and figured I'd be puffing on these suckers by now. Thanks for everyone's comments!
