When to move rockwool/seedlings into net pots w/hydroton?

Hi,
I've grown outdoors and indoors in soil, but I'm trying aeroponics for the first time.
Germinated some seeds last week, all sprouted and most are above the surface. It sounds like some seed directly into rockwool that's already in the hydroton and don't have to transplant. They will be in a small aeroponic system. Is it ok to turn on the sprayers or should I wait to avoid drowning them??

Thanks!

Ok to turn them on, but would do so on a timer. Make sure you nute levels are really, really low as well!

I just transplanted some seedlings into hydroton by carefully breaking apart the rockwool cube. Wait until you have one or two sets of true leaves but not so long that the roots are busting out of the cube. I leave a sliver of rockwool around the main root branch.

Clones for my last grow were started in rockwool blocks (4"? 5"?)that were buried in 9x9" baskets of hydroton. After chopping last week, i examined the roots to find very few roots in the rockwool. The hydroton was filled with large mass of healthy, well-branched roots.

I was running constant flood and drain.

what kind of schedule?
constant flood and drain. about 9min flood, 3 min to drain. i know some people say that's way too much, and for rockwool it would be, but trust me: it really doesn't matter for hydroton. do whatever's easy, just not too dry.
