When To Start Counting Flowering Weeks?

so lets say a strain says 60 day flower.

Is that from the first 12/12 day??

OR

When you start to see her flower??

so start the 60 day counting on the first 12/12 of start counting when the plant starts to show sex/flower??
 
ok. so my plant showed pistols lets say the 30th of july. so count 60 days from there and start sheck trichs??
 
But. I want to know what A seed company or breeder thinks. Logically the only KNOWN date is the date you started 12/12.

how would you know exactly when you started to show pistols or when to start counting??

I feel that you would have to start counting from start of 12/12. breeder usually give you a week window like 53-60 days.

Anyone disagree??
 
i start counting as soon as i change my light shedule to 12/12. and flowering time varies on strain, and what exactly the grower wants

I know what you mean. Now I'm REALLY confused, because I've always counted down from the time I switch over to 12/12.

But what do I know?

I've only grown for twelve years, produced hundreds of pounds of weed, and have a nutrient company. :)
 
they do it form day 1 of 12/12 but have more lights and bigger co2 and makes it faster. add 2 weeks on average and it also depends on what type of finished product for a high you want compared to what they like. so to be honest nobody can say for your room and wants when to cut. have to dial that in for your self.

You mean that it doesn't make sense to know exactly how much ppm of X element you are feeding your plant? Would you rather do the math yourself?

Side question: do you prefer automatic or manual transmission?

i was just wondering, im sure if you added more then what your product says to use it would raise the ppm. and not every body understands ppm. it would be easier and more understanding to just have the NPK numbers on it. im just curoius. thats cool you have your own nute line up how does it work you have any pics of grows using it. and also is theri ore then that one type beacuase plants need more then those 5 nutrients.

The N-P-K numbers are provided too. The focus is the PPM, however. PPM gives you a clearer picture.

The label is unfinished, anyway, and yes, it has more than 5 elements. It's a complete fertilizer. The five listed are the ones that everybody should take heed to. All the other 12 or so trace elements are around 5-15 ppm apiece.

Anyhow, as far as the time you choose to count down, well, we're really just splitting hairs. Say you count down from the time you see your forst pistils, typically within 3-4 days of 12/12 for most sexually mature plants, then you will see no diff counting down from the day you kick the lights on the 12/12 cycle- or the time you see your first few pistils.

Sheeez. touchy people....
 
yes i saw the npk rates when i went to the other page. and i wasnt tryin to be a dick or nothing about your nutes i was just curious. and i think the counting thing is really up to the grower. alot of people dont even bother counting cuz the plant will let you know when it is done, theri is no specific time of it being done
 
I guess everyone has to throw there 2 cents worth in on this one. I think what the person is asking is a very simple fucking question......"When do you start counting the flowering time of a plant?".

Question: Is it when you start 12/12?
Answer: I don't think so. Some plants/strains will continue to veg and not show sexual maturity for some time after this.

Question: Is it when the plants show sex?
Answer: Probably a good start. Yes the plant has begun the flowering process.

Question: Is it when the plant starts to show signs of flowering?
Answer: Most likely this is the most accurate of the answers.

I'm saying figure the "flowering time" after the plant shows the first signs of throwing buds. Just my humble opinion.
 
60 days from 12/12 is average time to harvest. You may like 55 days to 70 days, just depends on you. Sooner more energy, later, more couch lock, on average, depending on strain also.
