When to top?

I don't get topping or exactly when to. About when should I? I'm on week 3 vegging. I think 4 nodes I'm not sure. Help?

I always do it at the 5th but i think 4 should be fine, I know you didnt ask about fimming but this pic should help you out man. Good luck
