I know a lot of "libertarians" due to where I live. They all watch Fox news, vote Republican, claim to want a "minimal" government but then go nuts when you suggest cutting our absurd military budget. American "libertarians" have no coherent political philosophy, they are just Republicans who want to seem more "hardcore." In the past Libertarians hated both parties, wanted to legalize all drugs and prostitution, and eliminate our military all together. They still had zero political philosophy as to how basic governance would work, except that it would be like "the old West," in that people would be free to screw each other over and murder to their heart's content until their neighbors got sick of it and killed them. Totally ignorant, pure pipe dream, at our current population level. This guy is a goof who has unwittingly been spouting Russian state talking points since the Citizen's United decision removed the last vestiges of American democracy.

So if you read my post then you would see I see the need for a small government. I don't want to cut the military or its funding and I vote in wichever way I think is best Democratic or Republican or independent.
And yes I'm all for people policing themselves, I believe state over federal and the citizens over the state. As far as the old west must not have been to bad we are still here and blooming so your idea of the word coming to an end if my way was to rule is fullish.
