I am not sure the extact wattage rated but I think its 1250 but might have been 1280w or 1200w not sure but I thought it had been 1000w as the highest you can get but this dude has one that has one atleast 1200w HPS.. so just wondering where can u get it? I don't see it on hydro web sites at all. mostly its 400s , 600s and 1000s and 150's .

Most people dont use these because there not worth it. There rare because they take so much to operate. U cant get them as close to the plants and lights fades at the square of an inch so u will get more lumens to ur plants if u use a small wattage light then u would if u used a 1000 watt or biger. Heat will also b a big problem if u dont have proper venting. It may not sound right if ur a beginer but as u gain experience with diferent lights through the years ul c 400 watt or less lights realy r the best choise. They give more lights because they can be closer and more positions. if u have a 1500 watt light its all shining from one area. U can have 7 200 watt lights. 7 lighting positions will give u much more light. The yield will b much greater.

I have done lots and lots of light research and no where here in the US did i see anything in that range, i did see the above mentioned 1500 watt, but pretty pricey because no one uses them. I prefer 1000 watts, if you can cool em you can do some amazing things with them.

I currently use x2 air cooled 600watt hps's and i can have them 6 inch from my plants!! Air cooling is the way forward with any light greater in power than a 400w!!

lumatek makes a dimmable ballast that has a setting for like max lumens or something. so i guess it goes over 1000w. the thing is efficiency, a 600w is the most efficient and when you get larger than that the lumens/watt output decreases.
