Where do you get your nutrient advice from?

I obviously don't want to walk into a hydro store and start asking them questions about specific nutrients and what to feed the weed during certain times and whatnot.
But me not being any form of a gardener, do you just ask for a tomato or pepper plant? or something general like that, or are they too far removed from needing the same nutrients.

I agree with master. I use the same but to be on the safe side use 1/2 the recommended dosage. Be sure to leech your medium every month prior to harvest to free toxic nutrient buildup.

True, I thought about just asking the guys in the store, but I live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest town 3 hours away has one hydro store, and if they aren't too fond of the idea, then I am out of a close source for anything, and maybe even get the privilege of a knock on the door from the uninvited.
