Where to buy a 400 HPS or 600 HPS?

Where can I pick one of these up? I'm looking for the cheapest deal basically. I'm considering just using the 400 W because I don't want to have to deal with heat. What are the differences in price between the two? And how much of a grow difference do they make? Whats a simple way to deal with the heat from the 600 HPS?


My goal is to have a lamp over 3 plants, with CFLs around them in a closet.

Also I've been seeing a lot of people using 125w and 250w maxibright CFLs... are they anything compared to an HPS?

since is hard to get responce on here i give my view. light depens on area 400w- 3ft x 3ft 600w- 4 x4 1000w- 5x5... 400w hps will be fine with 3 plants. i found ebay the cheapest for anything todo with growing even the hydro stores are wild more expensive and cant cant conpete with ebay. not much price diff beteen 400-600 hps but like i sayed if u have there area its better to grow 600. u will need fresh air coming into your grow to help plants and heat control. good luck.

but amazon is great for nutes, tents, lights, ph pens, kits, i have the apollo ballast with the whole 1k setup bulbs whole 9 yards, paid under 300 bucks i suggest it, but if your rich and like name brand top of the line like some people will only suggest buying then thats your preference i wish you the best on a future grow buddy cheers
