Where's my roots

I just transplanted this old plant that I've had in veg for months from 5 gallon to 7 gallon fabric pot and I didn't see a much root other than the crusty ones stuck on the bottom and some on one side of the pot. It's in ffof/ffhf mix. Shouldn't there be more roots ? I let this poor thing veg for way too long so maybe that has something to do with it. Any ideas ? I'm putting it under 12/12 tomorrow. Or I just cull it since it's been having issues with curling and yellowing leaves.

you got a root ball by the sounds of it. you should have a pot full of roots

i would get rid of the dead leaves on the soil, nothing worse then getting a bug attack.

You mean they're all bunched up in the middle ?

yes, it looks like it, yu usualy get it from leaving a pland in a sall pot for too long, but thats not the case here. rootball or something wrong with the roots

Yeah you right about that. I plan to reuse this soil so I'm trying keep all it's nutrients in it. Definitely not worth a bug infestation tho.

You had them in fabric pots so they don't circle like they do in plastic pots. They air prune on the outermost layer of soil in fabric pots.

You need to have confidence. Money and looks get your foot in the door but you need the personality to seal the deal. Roofies also help.

I switched to plastic pots this grow for this reason. I'm going to switch my veg tent to them as well. I think it'll be easier to transplant as well.

Yeah you right about that. I expected to see more roots because it's been in veg since January.

Yeah I had to cut the 5 gallon fabric pot to get the plant out. It's too big to do the hand flip method. In plastic they come out like a freaking cake nice and smooth. I can transplant 1 and 3 gallon fabric but anything above I use knife.

They will have a very robust root mass inside of that soil ball. The root system is actually more healthy in pots when it's not circling.
