which end of seed to plant

I know it's noob...but if you've never planted seeds, how would you know?

My bag seeds I plan on testing with are all germinated. Does the white end coming out of the seed point to the surface? or does the white thing point up?

What does that mean?

Sorry, but not understanding.

THe white thing that is growing out of the seed. Does that point down?

doesnt matter wat u point it the seed will adjust itself just stik it bout half inch down nd the seed wil do the rest

yer i supose it could help but either way the seed is going to rite itself and head for the light. but im new to the whole thing neway i only planted my first seeds 5 days ago.

yer i only planted 2 as im purely in the experimenting stages of growing, but 1 has sprouted and standing bout an inch tall and the other isnt far behind.

That is the tap root. So yes its the root.

cheers mate and i will, also got a quik question regarding lighting. would 2 200 watt 6500k white/ blue spectrum enviro lights be suitable for my grow.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but my question is more detailed.
Which end of the seed does the root tap come from? The round side of the seed at the end with a circular disc (image 2) or the pointed side of the seed?(Image 1)
Want to set them as right as possible. Any help would be great.
