when thinking of growing pot one must consider the medium in which they are gonna grow(hydro soil areo).....so my question to you is....WHATS BETTER.. this is just an opinion based thread but all opinions an pictures are welcome....since i asked i will awnser i feel soil is the best way to go.... i say this because you have less overall problems then hydro an areo....also in times of need potted plants can be easliy moved if nesserecy....:hump:

i agree, soil is more forgiving but you if you had the time and skills to deal with hydro or aero you would prob have a better product

see to me thats a flawed mentality...wine conisures dont rave about alachol content or just for the fact of drinkin alachol....what they do though is rave about smell an taste as do we as pot conisures...

i never said i didnt like good tasting and smelling weed, just in my situation where you have nowhere else to get it, then it starts not to matter anymore

I had the same question a while back..after getting alot of feedback and asking alot of questions I chose hydro. Like an earlier reply eluded to...you need to pick what work best for you..time..the willingness to learn..money etc..

money is they key there all growing..real growing...takes time an effort....but the excess money spent versus the money made back is horrible with hydro...things like water temp regulaters organizms growing in the water ish like that...while soil has its problems i just belieave there cheaper an easier to fix in soil...

Yeh im growing white widow in soil, its pretty bitchy about stuff, but it seems to have done fine in soil. Week away from harvest, and all looks good.

I like soil : ) More natural

Long term I think hydro is cheaper. Once you purchase the initial materials the only thing you have to buy in the future is nutrients. With soil, unless you want to recycle your soil (which I wouldn't do) you have to continuously buy soil & nutrients.

I dont' agree with that soil is easier. Anyone that had to flush plant can testify that shit like that is for the birds. In hydro you can manage the nutrient solution to "exactly" what you want the plant to have. No problems with the left over nutes you done put in it during veg growth. In hydro it goes directly to a regime (if done correctly) of bloom nutes. As far as the taste aspect of it here my logic or lack there of on it. I'm giving my plant primarily organic nutes, bat guano and earthworm. The tiger bloom I give it would be the same nutrients that I would give a plant in dirt. Isn't good dirt primarily the kind of dirt that worms and other organisms thrive in? I can't see how the smoke should taste that much different.

The only problem I have with my system is my laziness to make a 3rd one. 20 minutes...but I'm stoned.

I've seen both first hand. I haven't made an ebb and flow yet...my next project. In that DWC system, it's just sick how fast they grow. The root development is amazing. It's like hopping into a mercedes when you've driven a honda your whole life.
