What do you guys think....which one of these should I make the mother plant. The one in back left is my NL mom. I'm wanting to know which one of my SN's to make a mom. Its either the front left one or the one on the right. The front left stretched pretty bad...I think due to a K def....however it has shown the most vigor. The one on the right has always been the smallest but very healthy looking. I'm about to start up a SOG. The mothers will go into soil mix. Which one is best?

Here is the front left one

Here is the one on the right

pick the one with the broadest leaves thats showing the most vigours growth. that will be the strongest smoke. :joint::mrgreen:

The broadest fan leaves?...and I gues the one with the most vigorus growth would be the one that is tallest one?.....I think my concern was that the clones of the tall one may stretch the same way, and height is an issue. But again I think it stretched so much because of a K def. I supose it doesn't really matter because I'm putting all of them into soil. I allready have 3 transplanted and outdoors The others will follow today, but 2 will stay indoors as moms. I'll probably take clones from all of them and see how they turn out....since the others will be outside and no where near finished I could still switch my mothers around. Sorry for the long winded-ness Any other thoughts....is there a good thread about picking moms?

why not clone from all three and then grow out the ones you have in the flower room to do a comparison. then you'll be able to grow the clones you want to keep, or you can keep all two knowing which one is the strongest, which one flowers the fastest, and which one is the weakest to get rid of. IMO id grow the mothers and get a bigger yeild right away while the clones veg to be mothers.

There isn't enought room to flower these girls....there are 6 total...all female. I guess I'll take a clone from each one and see how they yeild. The ones outdoors should still be in veg so i can always take clones of them if they turn out to be the best.

They look kinda stretched,

Id take clones from both......and higher some plant up on bricks or whatever if you have to.

take the stockiest plant with broad leaves. the broad leaves indicate its indica genetics thus giving you a better smoke. the tall ones will surly be sativas and weak when smoked or unless you prefer sativas.

They are the same type, and there not bagseed. Surely there can't be that big of a difference in the genetics between the two seeds of same strain. And the taller one had the broadest leaves....I trimed them to let more light get to the potential clones.

I've had some sativas that definitely weren't weak smoke.. took a trip, but never left the farm.

Also had some wicked indica smoke...couldn't take a trip anywhere, couchlock sets in.

Each to their own. Several growers can grow the same strain from the same seed company and we will still end up with several different results.

Peace. Go Green...Grow
