Thank you! I’ve heard that before and the lab results for OF PH is 7.2. which is why mixed it, however, I water my pots to runoff before I transplant my seedlings and my runoff ph was like 4.5-5. I rewatered several times gradually increasing ph. eventually I used water up to 8.0ph and it still was at 5.0. All this to say I started the two pineapple chunk in 100% OF. The runoff was more like 6.0-6.3. Ive since learned a lot about runoff and how it is irrelevant if you’re not using nutes. Gotta give credit to
@diggs99 and
@Renfro . I’ll eventually get a soil probe, but for now have directed my attention to other things.. I haven’t watered since the first watering so I don’t know if its balanced out or not but I never saw a deficiency which is more evidence that
@Renfro is right about the runoff ph being irrelevant. But if it becomes a problem I’m going to apply some dolomite lime to the topsoil. Idk if this will work I haven’t tested it, but I think that’ll do it. I’m open to anything and everything constructive to growing btw. You can pm me or just reply. Thanks for the advice
