And maybe the biggest news yet, we have a cleaning lady again. Our old cleaning lady was old, and stopped working a couple years ago when her husband had a stroke. We have been looking all this time, but I have a not so small gun collection, so we are real choosy about who we let in the house. This lady is my step cousin, and recently lost her husband. She actually told us about six months ago that she wanted to do it, but with her husband's death today is the first day she is actually coming out. Once she gets the river house in shape we want her at the other house too.

Remember never hack from home!
Also the lady who lives across the river is fierce on Facebook. I wouldn't want her to find out I'm using it without asking. But it will be nice to check the weather and that sort of thing once in a while. We are at the end of the road, a mile off the pavement and DSL wasn't an option when the lady we bought from checked. Soon we will get a hardline phone and find out if DSL is available.

If you let her know she's unprotected and help her password her wifi maybe she'd let you hop on on the occasion you were out there until you got yours sorted?

Can't hurt to ask. There is another house with kids too, so it might be theirs. But across the river there is a good sized neighborhood. On my side it's a mile and a half by road to the next house {which is my house}. Out here in the sticks, it can still be an issue getting DSL if you are a ways from the last hookup.

Not in @doublejj's ball park, but I got a couple three e-toys this week. (blower not pictured) So far, so good. In really tall grass, the charge last about an hour on the mower. The trimmer seems to go on forever.

I’ve been thinking of buying a battery chain saw. I have a Stihl ms 260, but I really don’t use it much. I am thing of buying a Dewalt, because I have a couple of Dewalt tools that I really like. I’ve got a walk behind, and a zero turn, as long as they last, I am using them. I have a battery trimmer, it’s great, it lasts longer than I do.

An electric chain saw came with the river house. I haven't tried it out yet, but I bet it's like my small trim saw. Light weight, but harder to deal with because of the lightness.

What I like about the Kobalt is the same battery fits 30 something tools. A pole saw is my next buy. 4th of July sales just around the corner.

I'm in grass cutting hell right now. All three of my tractors have little problems keeping them OOC. I broke the deck on my 6' RFM last summer and haven't replaced it, and the 4'RFM cuts uneven. I do have a gas powered rider and walk behind, but keeping them going has been a problem the last couple of summers. I did get a line on a good diesel mechanic. Once I get a tractor going, I will still have to buy a RFM. The yard at the house on the hill is 3-4 acres. Working an hour a day with the push mower just doesn't add up to finishing the yard before it's time to start again.
