white hairs during veg? huh?? (coming out by the "spurs"?)

sooo..i hear the little green pointy things are called spurs but im sure you know what i talking about..anyway one of my buddys plants that are in veg and still young has some white hairs/pistils growing out by the green spur things and in between other nodes where new branches/leaves are growing..been on 18/6 since day 1. he doesnt have a camera good enough to pick it up or id post some pics. could anyone maybe let me know what this could mean? hope its not male pre flowers or somthing. there are round flower looking things now but it looks like they might just be growing new leaves. if anyone could post pics that sound similar that would be great.(aslong as you know the sex of that plant i guess)

the thing you are calling a "spur" is the stipula, anf it is normal for a plant in veg to show pre-flowers when it is mature enough to flower.

x2 check my photos I added... You can clearly see female flowers above the male pollen sack... That was a White Widow Feminized that went hermi on me.

k cool, thanks. so i see little things liek the one on the bottom. but they are fairly round with leafy like things..will males be a complete oval ball looking thing and have no white hairs coming out of them?(or can hairs come out of that part??) i didnt see just a strain oval looking sack they al look like a closed up flower or somthing with little white hairs around them.

They really should not be showing any signs of sex right now because your still on 18/6 not saying that it cannot happen... the white hairs you want coming out of them like the Female photos the male will just have a ball hanging out it can even me in the flowers as the female starts to develop those photos of the hermie were of a WW 19 days into flower, the AK48 was at the same day in the same tent. White Widow got the chop.
 
It's just a female pre-flower ... that's all ... and that's totally normal in veg if a plant is vegged long enough.

What????????????? Of course plants will show sex under 18/6 if you veg long enough. I don't think I've ever had a plant not show sex under 18/6. They usually start sprouting preflowers at about 4-6 weeks from seed regardless of light cycle.:weed:
 
no its flowering now. has been for about a week. its got bud sites im pretty sure. illl bump the thread i have in the general growing section if u guys want to check it out.(this is what im told anyway).

I can be difficult to blindly guess what something is and still be correct when there aren't pictures to go by.

If you had posted pictures and they would have been of actual flowers people would have said, hey ... those are flowers.

Going by your sketchy description .. That's pretty different from; "no its flowering now. has been for about a week."
 
Those are just female pre-flowers. They happen around a month or so in veg to every MJ plant. It's like puberty for MJ plants. No it's not going into full on flower unless it's auto or switched to shorter light periods. I think what your looking at thinking their buds are just newly formed branches with bushy leaves in the top. About the pre-flowers- It's not up for discussion or opinion just a straight up fact. End of discussion.

Really, c'mon. All plants vegged for long enough show pre-flowers and show whether it's male or female. I mean, that's how people sex out plants for Christ sake, can't tell hermie many times though.
