Strains: (3) Grape Ape and (3) Jillybean

Medium: CANNA Coco in 2 Gallon Smartpots

Nutrients:
For Veg: CANNA A & B, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, Silica Blast, MagiCal, Superthrive
For Bloom: Same as above but cut back on the Rhizo and drop the Superthrive. Plus Cannaboost, PK 13/14 (1-2 weeks mid-flower), and MOAB (last 2-2.5 weeks).

Grow Area: 3'x3' Silver Edition Tent

Lights: (1) Area 51 SGS-160, (1) Apache Tech AT120WR (3:2), and (1) Apache Tech AT200WR (3:2)

The clones have been vegging for about 3 weeks now under just the white setting on the SGS-160. The Grape Ape had a rough first couple days because I think the nutrient mix I made up when transplanting them into the 2g pots might have been a bit too strong plus they needed to adjust to the light. A few of the lower leaves got burnt up but that's fine, I planned on removing them anyway later. The Jillybean have been growing a lot more vigorously than the Grape Ape. I had to tie down the main tops because they were getting too tall in comparison. They've gotten nice and bushy.

Two days ago, I just turned on the AT120 as I prepare them for flower when all the lights will go on. Probably flip them to 12/12 this weekend.

And here's some pics of the set up.

My only concern at this point is the Grape Ape. They haven't really bushed out or anything so we'll see how they turn out. It seems like whenever I do more than one strain, one of them always gives me some weird issues with growth...don't know if it's pheno related but I have had this problem the last 3 or so rounds. Some just stay small or don't bush out. I think next time I will do either all the same strain or two very similar.

Hope you guys enjoy the show. It should be a good one. Peace and KCCO.

That shouldnt stop you from growing multiple strains, personally I really enjoy smoking the variety pack.

It's easy to train your plants at the same height and manage canopy with multiple strains, whether Sativas or Indicas, all you need is the plant velcro ties (homedepot has them) and keep tying down the stretchier plants. You can do this until about 2 weeks of flower, I find I dont have to do it after. You can velcro right on your smart pots!!

It makes your plants stronger too, more stable.

Once the canopy is filled I find it hard to move them and usually try to leave them as is until the end.

You know I am going to pick your brain about that 200... right?

I am too excited for this one. Grape ape, JB.... I wouldnt mind getting my hands on EITHER one of those. Not to mention what theyre under.

Soo, what's the difference between the 120 and the 200 on the hand test? Any warmer? Kept the same heatsinks and fans so not any louder? (Right T?)

I didnt know they had the on/off switch, good to know and definitely pulling in their favor.

Thanks for the advice buddy. I enjoy a variety of smoke myself so that's why I usually do more than one strain. I like the idea of the velcro ties. I have just been using sewing thread tied to paperclips on the edge of the pots to pull them down. If i didn't do anything, the jillys would be about twice as tall as they are now. Good point on trying to not move them especially when in fabric pots. I learned that if you need to move them, to slide them around rather than pick them up because the medium will get broken up under it's own weight.

Holy F, this should be awe-sommmmmmmmmme
Thanks Pet. I think so too.

Sup brother scotch. Ask any questions you might have. I haven't really noticed a difference between the 120 and 200 in terms of heat. they both are about the same, but the light output a lot more on the 200. I believe the heatsinks and fans are the same, not any louder that i can tell. Yeah i really like that they have on/off switches because then i don't have to unplug them to turn them off. with the a51 if you flip the switch it only controls the reds so to turn off the whites you have to unplug it.

which hardware is the quietest of the 3? the loudest? jus checkin thx
The quietest is definitely the area 51 sgs-160. that thing is damn near silent. the two apaches are pretty much the same in terms of sound levels.

Thanks brother. I'm not sure on the lens angles or the recommended coverage area. Tags probably has more info there. I would say it easily covers a 2x2 - 2x3 by itself. But you know how i do things, MORE POWER!!!

Day 3 of 12/12

Everything is looking good. The Jilly's are starting to show some cal-mag deficiencies so I'm upping the amount. Other than that, no issues. Still tying down the Jilly tops. They are getting real bushy. Raised the lights a couple inches as well. Temps stay around 77 degrees with all three lights on. CO2 levels are around 880 ppm. The exhale bag says it expired last month so I might put another one in, undecided at the moment. Next update will be in a few days when pistils start coming in. That's all for now. Peace.

Day 10 of 12/12

Got some nice pics for you to check out. The girls are loving life right now. I haven't given a breakdown of early flower nutrient regiment yet, so I'll lay it on you.

1 cap full Silica Blast
1 cap full MagiCal
11ml A&B
1-2ml Rhizo
8ml Cannzym
9 ml Boost

Gradually increasing A&B and Boost. I'll update the nutrient regiment again around week 4 when the PK gets added.

As for the girls, did I mention they are loving life? The Jillys are looking amazing, I love the way they bushed up when I started tying them down. The Apes aren't looking bad either, about the same height but haven't done anything to them, they were kind of slow veggers and stayed small yet not as bushy. As you can see, noticeable flowers coming everywhere. I guess that's all for now. Next update will be next week sometime. Peace &

Thanks brother. How's that old saying go? If you got it, flaunt it.

Thank you sir. I'm happy with how even the canopy is. Thanks to anchoring the tops down, they didn't stretch as much and ended up managing being able to keep the much shorter grape apes the same height. You think I got enough light? I was thinking about tossing in my 2 far red screw in bulbs on a timer just because i remembered i still have them. just need another timer and some fixtures to hang them from.

I dig it bro!!!

You really have the canopy controlled/matched great. Your jilly's are bud factories, I see nugs forming everywhere.
