White Roots vs. Slightly Brown Roots

Are Slightly Brown roots doomed to rot, or can they be saved?
Too much light or Nutes?

Cut em off, flush the water throw in 350 to 400 ppm no more no less.

Add a little root booster to the new water.

Get rid of all the brown, it's dead.

And I just went through this with my latest grow on one plant. I did not put enough reflective tape on top of the styro and too much light leaked in.

She bounced back fine but is a little behind the other two.

Fox Farms Grow Big, Vitamin B, Superthrive, and General Organics BioWeed all in the reccomended amounts. I have a fog/dwc hybrid system, I was thinking it was cuz the fog was on too much for too long (like on for 4 hours, off for 1 for about a week) so I switched it back to about 30 minutes on, 3 hours off so more oxygen can get to the roots. Is there any way to bring them back or save them?

without a pic I'll throw this out there,,,,,

Get rid of the fogger. Yer roots are going to seek out the water like a Stinger Missile after a Hinds Helo. Sounds like your medium may be too wet. When I start in dwc I keep the water level 4 to 2 fingers from the net pot bottom. As the roots drop into the water I lower the level to make them stretch. I'm using 120qt Igloos and right now I have the water level at about the halfway point so I don't drown the roots. The root systems I have in the third week of flower are longer than Red's hair. And hers is down past the hips.

I'm using 3 diaphram pumps on each cooler for 12 air stones ea. Lots of bubbles bursting. Oxygen rich, nutrient rich atmosphere. Smaller the bubbles the more my girls like it.

Hope it helps,,,,,

Nope had the same problem million of times it is usally the res temp that is the problem next to light leaks or just not enough air getting in to the water. Here is what you should do get some hygrozme 10 ml a gallon, then if it is your res temps that should always be under 70 f cause then you will get a fungi in your roots or they will just turn brown, so get a water chiller and keep the res temp aroun 60 f to 68f is optimal

get rid of the fogger plants usally only do good with a fogger when they are seedlings or clones, because when they are in vegative stage or flowering stage they suck that shit up to fast so i usally drowns them in mist just put some more airstones and it should do fine

GH organic line of nutes such as bio thrive, bio bloom, bio roots, bio marine and weed create a slimy goop on your roots. I discovered this myself when using these products in my DWC. The plant never seem to be hurting but personally i didnt like it so i switched to a differnt nute. I used Roots Exceluratorand it cleared the roots up quickly and made them nice and white

Get rid of all that organic shit so you can use H2O2 and you and your plants will be happy. Hydrogen Peroxide, I swear by it.
