Welcome to my Grow journal I hope to give regular updates to my thread time permitting.
This is my second indoor grow that I have done myself, I know a few growers and give them a hand sometimes. This is a budget grow most equipment is salvaged and freebies from grow buddies.
My grow room is in a pump house on my property its an 8'x8'x8' shed inside I have three smaller room/chambers the main flower room is 4.5'x4.5'x8', the second: veg chamber is 3'x3'x5'(pump and pressure tank underneath for our water well), the third is my mother chamber which is about 3'x2.5'x5'.
The strain I chose is White Widow one of my all time favorite strains.
Light source is a 1000w HPS in a cool tube running on a digital ballast.
10000 BTU portable A/C
Home made silencer on both A/C and Exhaust.
Medium is Pro-mix HP with mycorihaze
Pot size 3gal grow bags
Nutrients:
- Holland Secret: Micro, Grow, bloom, Calnesium.
- Potassium Silicate
Water is well water Ph changes with weather so i need to really check the Ph and adjust as needed.
I just hooked up a low pressure drip irrigation system to with 8L per hour self regulating drippers.
Veg and training: I believe I vegged for about 6 weeks 18/6 my OD plants really consumed a lot of my time (they were heavy trained and I had to build some temporary green houses). So between neglecting them and topping it really slowed things down. As for training I just topped everything a bunch of times they lived in 1 gallon pots the whole time in veg then I transplanted to 3 gallon bags let them veg for 4 days and then flipped to 12/12.
During flower I let them finish stretching and began to slowly defoliate any leaves that cover a bud sight(I think next time i will start this sooner). My idea is to leave as many leaves as I can but expose as many bud sites in an attempt to increase yield.
As of Sept 10th Im 3.5 weeks into flower attached photo is from that date.
