Temps I'm my grow room are mid to late 80's.... Would you say this is too hot and will cool the seedlings at the size they are? Not quite a week old currently. I switched off the 300W dual cfl earlier after advice that 500W was too much light for 4 seedlings in my size grow room. Any advice welcome.

naww, a good rule of thumb is if its uncomfortable to you its uncomfortable for them, cannabis is a tropical plant (were tropical apes) we like the same temp ranges 68-77 degrees Fahrenheit but they can tolerate a little heat or cold as long as its not too severe or drawn out. my seedlings seem to prefer warm to cold temps (cold slows them down)

also, each strain and plant within a strain are unique and you have to learn what the individuals respond best to, it just takes a little practice and diligence always be watching your babies monitoring the health of the leaves, weight of the pot, under leaves for pests, spend time with them make them feel loved and youll start noticing things you didnt before.

I couldn't be giving them more love than I am already really... Pics on my journal of them at 5 days old! Be interested to hear your thoughts...

Epic fail... So it was one thing after another but long story short I stunted their growth by overwatering in the larger pots, then transplanted to smaller pots and royally fucked them. However, since starting to flower at a ridiculously minuscule size, 2 have suddenly started growing... Shame they never did this at the start. Also, have a new seedling started 4/5 days ago... Pics attached of my 'disaster grow' and 1 of new seedling (cross fingers) - who will give me the biggest laugh!!!???

thats a lovely girl u got there, did u perform any LST, topping or u just let it grow naturally?
i m growing the same but my results r different than yours, maybe because i m using 5L pots...

Tropical? Like along the Hindu Kush Range or in the Mazar al-Shirifi Valley in Afghanistan?

The climate in Mazar-i-Sharif is very hot during the summer with daily temperatures of over 40 °C (104 °F) from June to August. The winters are cold with temperatures falling below freezing; it may snow from November.

Mazar I Sharif valley is not a tropical climate my friend. its a cold steppe climate.

the Hindu Kush range is also NOT a tropical climate its a mountainous area and as such has an alpine climate aka cold in winter

but since its an annual and only grows in the hot summers in these areas its adapted for hot weather smarty pants.

what would you call it? maybe Mediterranean?
im talking a blanket term for all 3 subspecies? I cant find anywhere that says what it is but its originally from central asian and the indian subcontinent so yea maybe "tropical" is the wrong word but I think it helps people get an idea of whats comfortable for the plant generally speaking.

Read more. It's native to the Northern Hemisphere. The very earliest evidence of cannabis is from China.From there it spread to Japan and India etc. It is from the same order as hops and hackberry. Neither of those are tropical either.
