looks like 100% females to me.
maybe that picture isnt the best.. It seems like all the larger braches from the lower portion of the plant have "balls" going all the way up. Mid way up the plant its 50/50 and at the top its all female... I chopped off the lower portion of the tree which i might have done anyhow. Im going to keep a close eye on it and will take some more pictures tomorrow.

Post # 19 for updated pics.

Quick question. Do you guys keep your fan leafs on the plant or do you cut them off?? Some of them are huge and eat up a lot of light. Am i good to cut them off?

Updated pictures. Everythign is going well... White all over the place already. Day 23 of flowering.

Got a bunch of new beans in. All autoflowering female dwarfs. 5 White Dwarfs, 5 AK47 x LR2. 5 AK 47 and 5 white russian. well out of 20 beans a whopping 8 germmed ( all AK47 germmed and 3 white dwarfs did. rest didnt even crack. im otherwise 98% success rate with germmin). To say im mad is an understatement.I also have a few clones going in the same box as dwarfs.

enjoy pics and please comment!.bongsmilie

Day 28 flowering.

2nd to last pic is my AK 47 dwarf. Also I germmed 3 more. 1x Power Skunk 2x Thai Skunk (free bees).

Last pic are my clones. It seems as though some of them have white hairs coming out the top already. I guess i took some of these clones too late... lol.. Never seen this before. Especially being my clone light is 18/6 mh and they are NOT auto-flowering (ive already grown this strain

How do you guys think they look for day 28 flowering?

Comments?

***Kinda weird.. The smell right now is not that good. It almost smells like mold but thats impossible.. humidity is only 30-40% and temps are about 72-78. Might just be the smell this bud produces... Only makes the smell on the bud. I dont like it*** My water, roots, fans leafs etc.. all smell fine. Its just the nug area that smells.. what do u guys think?

not one comment huh....?

must be pretty normal looking than.

Anyone have any ideas on this smell im smelling? almost like mold but its improbable for mold to form under theese conditions (30% humidity, lots of air movement (combined 500cfm), and a bright ass light so close that i dont see how any moisture could form...) . what else could it be? only on the large main colas.

everything looks great, i had a question though, it look like in the pictures before the res was misty? what did you buy to make it that way? what is that thing in the res when you were rooting your seedlings??

It's an ultrasonic fogger. Here is a link to what i use. I am not promoting this company http://www.petsolutions.com/default.aspx?ItemId=15522080&EID=NX15522080&SID=NXTG . Basically it shakes the water so fast it makes fog. The reason this is great is because im not DWC. So there is a good portion of my roots that do NOT sit in the water. This fogger makes it possible for the roots that are suspended out of water to still absorb nutes. Also young plants dont have root length to reach the res where as the fogger brings the nutes to them. Once i go to flower the fogger is turned off for 2 reasons. 1- being to avoid mold. The fogger makes a lot of humidity. 2- evaporation is a bitch and between the fogger and a grown plant they usually go through 3 gallons of water a day. My res is only 6 gallons and when i come home my water pump is cavitating (not enough water). without the fogger they use 1.5-2 gallons a day.

The "thing" in my "daisy pot" is a water pump with a spinning tip with a little hole in it. Basically it shoots little droplets of water inside (for a good picture go to my first post and look at the 4th picture). It's like aeroponics. I have it set on a timer so the clones dont get soaked. So far it works pretty well but im only getting a 70-80% success rate (probably b/c its not humid enough).

This smell is pissing me off. I love coming home to my house smelling like my plants. But over the past 4 days the smell has become somewhat undesirable. I just changed the res a week ago, was going to wait another week or 2 before i changed ( was going to flush at that point) but i might change the res now. I dont like this smell!

Good news. The smell is starting to change to a very musky smell. I guess this is just the way the plants will smell. Nug areas are very dense and after squeezing it my fingers are SUPER sticky. And smell a little like lemons.

I don't think any of those traits are characteristic for the strains ive chosen. But maybe i didnt get the genetics i asked for...

Either way, another 4-5 weeks and i should have some nice buds. bongsmilie

wow that fogger seems like it would work well in a custom made cloner, i thinkt hats going to be my next project.

I found that fogger on ebay for 10 bucks plus 9 bucks shipping, i think i'll buy two

how good of quality is it? i'll be using it in at 18 gal res, hopefully thats not too big

Just make sure you get or it comes with a flotation device for the fogger to sit inside of. These unit CANNOT be submerged under water completely. When i get home i will send you pictures of how mine works. I know a company that sells them with the floaters and everything you need but i know RIU doesn't like posting links to Inc's.

As far as size... These things are TINY! the one i linked and own is about the size of a golf ball. It creates enough fog to completely fill my grow reservoir box (humidity goes to 100%) and raise humidity inside my grow box 20%.

More pictures coming tonight. nugs got much larger, whiter and harder.

Here is a picture of how the fogger works. Once you put a top on your res the fog fills up and delivers nutes to roots via fog. I love it and notice a huge difference in size and speed of growth with clones and baby beans. Once the roots hit the res it really doesnt make much of a difference other than raising humidity.

For the price i think its a must have.

FYI you will consume about a gallon more of water per day (depending on how well you seal your res)

how are you NL clones coming along? i have nirvanas NL and have had the worst time trying to clone it. i dont have a cloner, just rockwool and a dome. ive used powder and gel and the best i can get is about 15% survival rate.

so how is that floater connected to the fogger, i do see how that works
Well there is a black plastic piece with styrofoam under it so it floats. In the middle there is a perfect recessed area for the fogger to go in. This way it sits perfectly submerged at all times... even when u miss a day of watering and it goes down a lot it doesn't matter because it floats with the level of water. then from there you just run a waterproof power cable out the box to and outlet and shaBAM! fooooooogggggg

I got home after 8:30 so i cant open her up to take pictures (12/12 timer).

I did however shoot a 41 in golf this evening.. My personal best so far.. only been playing for 5 months ...:bigjoint:

awesome journal.
fun read.
cool ideas
thnx! bongsmilie

I think i took my cutting too late in the bloom stage. I have white trichomes coming out 60% of my clones. Im not exactly sure how thats possible being they are under 18/6 mh... 70% have rooted, but i assume im going to have to trash them all.... :(

it they rooted they should be fine. they wont root until theyve reverted back to veg, so if theyre rooted your good. the trichs were more than likely there when you took the cuttings. good news for you, but bad for my cause. if your getting them to root from flower and i cant even get them to root from veg maybe i have gone 'tarded.:wall:

I'm not doing anythign special. I use root gel. Cut at a 45 degree angle. put under 400wtt mh with "aerocloner" pump thing... and i have lots of roots. Then i transfer them to larger cups and put them in with other grows. You could duplicate (not that you would want to) for about $45

well i couldn't resist. I know they're not ready but i took a few clippings to taste (2.5gms wet..small amount).. hehe.. gonna dry them real fast on a light bulb in aluminum foil.

WW plants look soooo much nicer than the NL. WW has a ton of white all over wile NL is mostly just trichomes. WW is VERY DENSE and the NL is fluffy but has a lot more buds than WW.

Transfered 3 clones into my main box. plenty of roots. So now i have 2x WW, 1x NL, 1x power skunk, 2x Thai skunk and 1 ak 47 auto flower in one box and 3x WW, and 1x NL in other box. Blue cheese, violator kush, ceresh white indica, ceres skunk and top 44 on the way. WOOT
