White Widow week 6 lacking trichomes?

I am growing a white widow strain from seed that was put into 12/12 without pre-flowers but after a week they appeared. I'm now into week 6 or week 5 from pre-flowers and I always see pics of white widow filled with trichomes but I barely see any on mine. Hopefully they have a lot more bulking up to do including trichomes.

Pineapple Express (same age). Although this one seems to not have many trichomes either? Can anyone guestimate how many weeks these strains have left?

No doubt they will do what they are genetically programed to do. Great job on the plants; they are beautiful!

Thanks. I'm hoping they fill out before they're ready because if they finish in 2 weeks they'll be pretty small. It's my first grow so I'm not sure what to expect.

Just let them go until they look like crap. The last week is when they really pack on the weight.

Will they also pack on trichomes?

Yes, they are genetically programed to do that.

When the trichomes appear they will be clear in color, when a good majority of them turn amber you will be ready for harvest. . Nice plants!
