I'm planning a grow sometime in September. I'd like to buy a couple of strains to help with pain when smoked.
If anyone is having success with smoking to relieve pain I'd love to know the strain and the seed seller if it is available in the US.
I'm not looking for suggestions from someone who is not actually smoking for pain or from anyone promoting a seedbank or from someone who has read or been told this strain is great.
What I'm looking for are member most of us know well who have been smoking for pain relief and are happy with the results.
If a couple of growers that I know here on RIU are happy with the strain they have, and I can buy it from a seed seller I'd be very interested in growing it this round.

I have had success making topicals for pain but never found a strain for pain that works when smoked.

I had a pheno of 420fast buds wedding cheescake that was body only. No head hi at all. It is great for pain....

But here is the problem. If you grow those same seeds...very slim chance you get the same pheno.

It is one of those things that just may take a long time to find. And then you need to keep a mother.

Since I first tried it in Colorado several years ago, I have had a great fondness for the Corey H. cut of Stardog. All of the elite Chem cuts have great pain relieving properties imo. I also like Panama Red for a Sativa that can help with pain relief. Maybe next year I'll do a Corey/PR cross, that actually sounds killer.

heavy kush or cookie based strain will numb you the fuck out
Agree with kush 100% but not on the cookie ones i dont find those very good for pain nor did the folks i know with health problems but people vary of course

I have an exo cheese bx1 that I really want to get too sooner than later. The last time I had good cheese I wasn't in any pain, but I definitely believe it. All the best pain relieving strains have strong, funky terps.

Should be good how actually exo like it will be god knows you could get lucky mind you but its a pain to breed with if i was gonna do it id probably try the recombinant inbred line route to try and lock down the smell taste and high that most cheese lines lack vs the clone its not a easy task regardless what way you go even the guy who found the cheese brightside also made a bx line called back to the cheese thats also in clone form these days mind you that was closer than most but still not ideal he bxd idk how many times to get there as well it was more than a couple put it this way hopefully you get lucky mate

If I were to say my go to strains I’ve grown #1 is Do-Si-Dos, 2nd Blue Cheese and 3rd Cookie Monster. Last 2 I used over a lot after wrist surgery. Taking pills did nothing for my pain but my first try growing weed resulted in these 2 beauties. Growing Blue Cheese again outside but I have a spider-mite issue, but I’m also growing a Do-Si-Dos plant as well.

White Berry is my favorite for cramps and sore muscles. It's Blueberry crossed with White Widow, so you get the pain killing effect and a really high ceiling.

Sometimes it's called Berry White or Blue Widow.

A friend had an Alien OG that only produces SLEEP high, nothing inbetween. No high. The high was sleeping. Never bought that strain again after that.

Seedsman Kush Auto is still, to this day, the best overall effect I've had from cannabis. It was like eating a snack and taking an aspirin. Absolute body-butter, and no couch-lock even after several bowls.

I want to thank everyone for the suggestions. I went with Night Nurse. 12 regular seeds. Hopefully I'll get at least 6 females and a good male or 2 to pollinate a few buds.

Is it better to pollinate with the male or take a couple clones from a female and reverse one of them to pollinate the other?

Also I like Thai sativa for pain relief

I have very limited knowledge about breeding, someone else might have an answer as to which way is better.

Motorbreath 15 from clone is pretty good pain meds. I prefer tincture but it works good smoked or vaped out of a Volcano. Night Nurse was a great strain, I grew it when I was first starting to grow and didn't do a great job with it. It was really good for insomnia and helping you get to sleep. Hope you find a winner in your seeds.

I use oil for pain so do a few others I do it for - if you make oil or edibles then that will help with pain relief and sleep - its worse when you can't sleep when you suffer with pain - ive been using flavor chasers stardawg for it - but gonna go with greenhouse this time,i used exodus and jack herer for years for sleep so now im gonna go back to it see if its still same has they used to be

I know this is an older post but I was hoping to find out how those Night Nurse seeds came out for you. I and a good friend both have bad insomnia from pain and nerve issues and have been looking for a good breeder that has Night Nurse. Thanks for any help you can give with a strain report.
