You got alot more reading to do. It started out as a cross in mendoceno county California. Found out that it grew great in the salty ocean air. Ocean grown was what it was called. It was done by dome red necks so I would be damned if they called it original gangsta. That came after it went to Compton and so cal. So before you talk you might want to know your weed.
i read books not stupid internet bullshit like you kiddies

You read all you want. I know the growers. Went to the farm it started from and then found myself at another farm off the coast where it got it's name. So fuck off with your gangsta shit. Nothing has come from San franando or Compton. It's all from the emerald triangle. It hurts my to say that. I'm from the SFV. But speaking the truth.

Your a moron. And looking for post counts. Go to toke and talk. Let us real growers handle this little boy. My guess is you cant even vote. If you can as a smoker who would you vote for? Me? I'd leave this bitch in. He galliard our lead for 3 years but if he gets in he can't for the next 8 years. I put it out do how about you? If you say romny you will be band.

Google it. Read it to the end. Only when it reached so cal did it get original gangster name.

The "Original Gangster" OG Kush comes from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles and is considered to be the strain that put Southern California buds on par with the flowers coming from up North. Developed over three generations and years of stabilizing as well as developing the perfect fertilizer / food for this parrticular strain, resulted in a phenomenal kush, said to be the strongest indica today.

The OG Kush was formally a clone only strain. She stretches in veg but seems to fill herself out in flower. She has smaller nugs that you can get a good yield from if you supercrop her while she's growing. OG Kush prefers to be grown indoors in a hydroponic setup.

OG Kush, when properly grown, has the highest THC content of all kushes and is sometimes so strong, it "makes your teeth hurt" after you smoke a bowl. When smoked, it feels like a wake-up shot to the head, not unlike an espresso, which makes this smoke perfect as a pick-me-up during a long day of physical labor. Having said this, it is not recommended to smoke OG Kush before bed, as it is known to speed up the heart rate and keep the user awake.

There is also another well known OG lineage that was developed in Northern California, and this story went something like this.. A guy - we'll call him KushDawg for the sake of this story - living somewhere on the Northern California Pacific Coast was growing the original cut from San Fernando Valley, the birthplace of most herb carrying the "OG" label. One evening, KushDawg was hanging out at a local bar when another chap also sitting at the bar offered him a bowl of some very special weed. Intrigued, KushDawg accepted the offer. Once the chap opened the bag and the dank, pungent OG aroma lifted into the air, KushDawg knew immediately, unbeknownst to the chap, that this was in fact his own herb. As they toked the glorious herb, the chap rendered his own opinion as to the origin of the herb, saying that it was so great because it was "Mountain Grown." KushDawg corrected the chap, "Naw man, this stuff is 'Ocean Grown,'" meaning that the herb was actually grown indoors on the Pacific Coast.
There ya go

For the way it makes your brain feel. cn

(Actually, back in the '90s there was a hardcore Indica strain called Hindu Kush, even though its origins were a bit mismatched to the Asian region.)

OG Kush
A Cannabis Sativa dominant cultivar found in California, especially "The Valley" (San Fernando Valley).

This breed of marijuana has suffered long debates as of its origins and genetic heritage but anyone who has ever worked with this plant knows that the prized phenotypes are the Sativa phenos which are tall and lanky. These are where the real "fuel" and "chem" smelling flowers come from. Any grower or experienced enthusiast knows this to be true, despite any debates about heritage or origin about the plant. The plant is a mixed breed but is mostly a Sativa.

There are several cuts flowing around the area, such as 'SFV,' 'Ghost,' 'Tahoe,' 'Larry,' 'HA' (Hell's Angels), 'Fire,' 'Abusive,' and '818' but it is extremely rare to find an original OG Kush that hasn't been reworked. Many growers identify the 'Tahoe' and 'Ghost' as being two of some of the most close to the original OG Kush that made it's way to California early in the 1990's.

Anyone who says this plant is a kush definitely has not seen it growing and does not know much about weed because it has high THC and lower Cannabidiol than true Indicas, of which the Kush family come from.

A side note:
Anyone that knows anything about Kush plants know that these short, robust dark green and even purple colored plants originate from the mountain range stretching between central Afghanistan and northern Pakistan where taller, lighter Sativa dominant plants do not grow well.

Q: Man is that shit OG??
A: Naw that is some weak-ass bullshit that the dispensary is pawning off to patients for more money because of the name but is a far cry from good OG.

Q: Hey, do you know where to find the real OG Kush?
A: _______ . (Silence)

Q: What does OG Kush smell and feel like?
A: It smells like Pine-Sol, tastes like danky-piney-lemony smoke and it hits you hard and makes you wobbly and takes your mind and body for a ride for hours.

HT is a mag for newbies that want to stay newbies, its full of ads and other non grower crap a shadow of what it once was when Tom forcade was alive. With former Photog Jorge Cevantes leading the pack he was never a grower just met a lot and photo'ed their grows Ed Rosenthal was the OG grower guru then, but a lot of folks like Jorge so. BTW it's ocean Grown not original gangsta, Orgnkid and the rest were not into the hip hop scene. Not from florida even though I have to give the White credit for there if I was there I'd move quick too many grow busts!! Consider the source for all info! oNce the hype machine on OG took off every grower added OG to wnatever to enhance its sales. as was Kush which as you know is a region in the middle east but this plant has little to do with there imo its more sativa leaning but has great flavors.
