Hey I was about to chop a plant but I dont have a scope to check trics and there is still some white/yellow hairs, is it fine to cut now?View attachment 1421085
Impossible to say. Why not tell us what kind of strain it is? How long it has been flowering for? Any other info would be nice as well.

If you have at least 20/20 vision you should be able to get down close and at least determine if the trichomes are moving towards amber. Don't underestimate your own eyes.

Ugg is this what i think it is?

A really blurry picture? Did I get it right?

Couldn't tell you. Between the blur, the lack of brightness or contrast, and the orange tint I don't really know what you're trying to point out.

Nice going to place an order right now!
Northern Lights #5 fem and Lemon Skunk.
If I am happy with Attitude I'll order some more for the future.
Thanks again.

ok thank you thats is what I was planning on doing but like I said this is my first time doing this stuff so I realy appreciate an experienced second opinion. I also have another problem though. I am pretty sure I have been over watering and over spraying my 2 week old seedling. So I have stopped spraying them and have been watering less often. Some are making a good comeback but have a little bit of brown on their leaves. The other ones that dont look so good have a lot of brown an light tan almost white color to them an the leaves are still pointing twards the ground. Should I just keep doing what I am doing now and let the plants do there thing or is there anything I can do to help?

DSCN0298.jpg This is what I got off that plant. Everthing below the big nug with stem in the top left corner is going to oil I think. Is it ok to dry them in this wood drawer if I flip the nugs everyday?

I have a question. Will quick drying affect the taste/potency of the trichomes themselves? The reason I ask this is because I wanna just quick dry my smaller buds and throw em in my recently built hash tumbler. Never made hash before so I didn't know if this would affect anything. Any input would be awsome.

this is the third time ive had to right this !!!GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!! Computer kept freezing

Anywho, This is my FIRST grow and i recently went to amsterdam and broght home 10 seeds from cannabis seed co. 5 fem (SH) strawberry haze & 5 (HG) Himalayan Golds. i started 5 seeds dec. 1st and 2 survived. not sure which cuz i didnt label but i think 2 HG survived. Im doing a Basic DWC in 5 gal buckets. running dual air stones to each. seeds where started in root riot plugs in Grodan with hydroton for support. i got 400wt HPS from HTG & 3 6500k CFLs. I trimmedone plant at 10" and the other i didnt. now i wish i did cuz at 2 months its 58" tall. i started with pure blend grow nutes and continued to use into the flowering stage for a week due to financial reasons. i ran out of nutes 4 days ago and i have to refill buckets every other day. i orderd nutes from HTG yesterday but they wont be her till probably monday feb 7th. that will be 8-9 days with no nutes. i bought AN Connoisseur flower A&B for my base nutes. i also bought AN Big Buds, AN Bud Candy, Botanicare Berry Sweet Carbo, & Emerald triangle's Snow Storm Ultra...I think i went a lil over board but whatever...what of these should i use? should i go to local hardware/walmart and buy miracle grow or something to hold me over till the real nutes arrive...the leaves are turning a slight yellowish color on the inside of the fan leaves. nothing bad just not as rich dark green as before...that i believe is due to lack of P & K or one of the 2...i think...lol...ive added some pics, let me know what you think... thanx nick

I'm fairly certain they will survive but they are going to suffer a little bit going that long without nutrients.
I don't know if I can recommend any cheap store bought nutrients to use in a DWC... I'd go with whatever balanced liquid nutrient they had. Don't go overboard with it. I'm not entirely sure you'll need to at this point... 4 days in... but it is hard to be certain.

As far as the nutrients go you need to be keeping them within reason. The A+B should be used in low concentration. Like 2-3ml per gallon is PLENTY, especially in combination with everything else. The Big Bud and the Bud Candy are going to be used probably at about the same volume (if you have the powdered Big Bud 1tsp per gallon adds up to about 600ppm, so take it easy). The Berry Sweet is really just a magnesium supplement with some carbos, so feel free to begin using it at around 5ml per gallon after the 6th week or so of flowering. During the last week before you harvest I think you want to cut out the big bud, but run the Bud Candy and Berry at full strength, with just 1ml or so of the A+B. Then flush, ripen, harvest.

They are looking good on 4 days of no nutrients. You only have 5 more days... Honestly... I think they would probably start to "dim" on you in a day or two, and by the time they are just about to start looking bad everything should have arrived and they are going to be some hungry monkeys. Might work out to your benefit actually, kinda, clean the system of veg nutrients and gear up for a good PK flowering boost.

I suppose we are going to find out one way or another. I do wish you luck in your decision.

Thanx for the solid advice thats exactly what i was wanting to hear...so i bought a good combo, my plants will be ok, and you gave me good advice on what parts to mix in combo with the other...nice...

Is using 4, 300 watt incandescent bulbs enough to grow good pot? or are HID's the only viable source for good light?
Incandescent is not for growing. CFL can be used. But those bulbs throw more heat than light.

300w bulbs sounds fucking crazy. Most sockets aren't even rated that high.

i got a question about my veg cycle. I am on 20/4 now and i was wondering if it needs to be completely dark during off time and if its not completely dark what are the negative effects.

I just joined the site this morning so if i have posted in the wrong thread please guide me to the right one :eyesmoke: thanks

Got a question. Here is the link to my post

https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/406857-need-little-help-thanks.html

I'm going to harvest at the end of week 7. Wish I could hold out a little longer, but can't. Leaves are starting to wilt, spots, curl and turn sideways...

What do you think the outcome will be of harvesting early with the plant like this? Buds look great and are nice and dense. Pistils are maybe 60% changed color to orange. Lots of trich's but not sure if they are clear or amber (no microscope)

Thanks for the help!
