i grew out 12 plants in a 4x4 room with two 400s, one mh and one hps. rather then rotate the plants i kept them seperate (mainly cuz the six on the left side were a better strain so i didnt want to subject them to the mh. the buds under the mh were not airy at all they were SUPER dense like rocks man. also the ww that were under the mh as well were the best smoke ive ever had to date i think.

i DO think the yield was super weak though.

i agree my yield has been less then id hoped before but i didnt get real airy buds. still good smoke and not a waste to do it under. espically if you had a free light like me

how much "weaker" was the yield
did you loose grams, oz, what

they say mh make your weed stronger, i grow bagseed that has been compared to kush- i know its not - but they dont..LOL,,, but if the mh can make my buds that much more sweeter, then......

you know I heard that the MH gives you a smaller yield, but supposedly increases trichome production. But the kicker is that the buds that are getting hit by my hps and are being shaded from the MH are actually a tiny bit more trichy and denser. These could just be my results but it seems as if that's not true either. So all in all I still think HPS is definintly the winner in the flowering catagory, I just can't afford a decent bulb ATM

i cant really say how much yield was lost becase of other factors. i will say tis, i have read that the most ideal spectrum is 2 to 1 hps>mh so if you run six 1000s thn itd be four hps and two mh like this xoxxox.
